Then I got the better deal? Well, it was a weekday, so they had a special...

And I wasn't complaining, I was just throwing out a number there in terms of what tickets have cost.

Catwoman and Speed 2: Cruise Control rate better than ROTF on the list. That right there should tell you the writer doesn't know the difference between garbage and dog shit.

I liked Independence Day. The concept behind the aliens was cool (weak telekinetic alien in a armored weaponized bio exo-suit) and the film was so over-the-top-ridiculous. Planting a computer virus on an alien mothership?!?! Sure Jeff Goldblum, sure.

Apparently in Hollywood and the Media it's cool to hate on Michael Bay. If one doesn't hate on Michael Bay then you suck as a critic and you aren't worth listening to. When in reality one fails to realize that sometimes the most enjoyable films are the ones where we turn our brains off at the door and enjoy the "spectacle" of it all. We don't want to be concerned with the laws of physics or if it is really nighttime half the way around the world, or if the Bone-yard is behind the Smithsonian, we want to sit back, relax, munch on our butter-drenched popcorn, sip on our overpriced soft drinks, and be wowed. And if Michel Bay is such a bad Director (according to all these writers and critics), then why the hell is he making billion-dollar blockbusters and working with the likes of Steven Spielberg?

I agree, I watched it once in the theater, and then tried to watch it again at a friend's house, and it's just awful, the plot that they chose to focus on, the acting, the tone, all of it.

Different country dude. Australians get buttfucked in terms of prices for everything, including going to the movies.

Wait, those two are rated better then ROTF? Damn, this writer is fucking stupid.

Going from #1 to #20 for sheer effect of saying "WTF?!?! That film is considered better?!?!?"

    1. Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen
    2. Star Wars-Episode I: The Phantom Menace
    3. Sex and the City 2
    4. Battlefield Earth
    5. Batman & Robin
    6. Godzilla
    7. Waterworld
    8. Wild Wild West
    9. Catwoman
    10. Pearl Harbor
    11. Green Lantern
    12. Speed 2: Cruise Control
    13. Howard the Duck
    14. The Haunting
    15. Stealth
    16. Transformers: Dark Of The Moon
    17. Avengers (the one with Uma Thurman and Sean Connery)
    18. Hudson Hawk
    19. Knight & Day
    20. The Last Airbender

This list looks like it was complied by some guy who overheard conversations of the office films buff's bubbler talk over the past 30+ years.

The link worked for me. Anyways, reading through the entire list, I have come to a conclusion: This list sucks. It is completely biased and the writer doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about. I hope to god that TIME magazine dies in fire and that the writer is forced to watch Avatar: The Last Airbender a thousand times in a row for putting that at 20.

I dunno. Even fans of the series told me it was poorly done.

Hey, look at it this way, it's another nail in the directive coffin of Shamallamallamaman a.k.a. Mr "twiest!"

Sorry but some people just get tired of having to leave their brain at home just to be able to enjoy a movie. What the heck people who want a bit of story and character are just sort of left out of the summer season because it's too much to ask for a combination of action, effects, and bit of brains to the whole proceeding?

Yes some people do have a wonderful ability to turn off, but it's so much harder for some people. An episode of the TV show Alphas bothered the heck out of me because a quarter used in an episode was supposed to be one quarter but the film crew used three different quarters to represent the one quarter.

As to Steven Spielberg is there anything lately that he's not a producer on or connected to in some way? Like his movies everything he's the producer on will not be golden.

C'mon, there's gotta be some film you like that's just completely ridiculous and full of "now, that would never happen in the real world" moments.

Star Wars because ships would not move that way in space. It nags at me but then I have to remember that I had to buy into the whole magical sword thing so I might as well be full in for something with no footing at all in reality.
