Is it only me or are there others out there that feel the Classics Grimlock toy does not do the character justice?

The toy itself is not great. He's too small and should be more the size of Classics Inferno for example.

Come on Hasbro. Get it done!

Use MP grimlock. He looks just about right in the classics line.

I don't want another Pretenders Grimlock which is what we already have. I want a G1 upgrade I'm currently using MP Grimlock which is fine for now.

This did seem to a be a problem with many of the early waves of Classics. Galvatron was smaller than Megatron and Optimus Prime. Grimlock should have been released as a Voyager range figure. The MP Grimlock would only really work in T Rex mode.

The time for a new Classics Grimlock was about the time they first showed pics of Classics Grimlock.

Agreed. And don't get me started on the abonimation that was Octane!

The recent Generations and Universe lines have been some of the best Transformers figures ( at affordable prices) Ive ever seen. I think Grimlock deserves the same treatment. Prime has seen a re jig (lets face, he's had a few) Why not Grim?

i am humbled that we got a MP Grimlock, so i don't want to anger the toy gods by being an ingrate.
that doesn't mean i don't secretly pray we get the other 4 somehow (in voyager class, perhaps?)

but that may not be likely for a little while.

I don't think the scale of Classics Grimlock was the problem because I've seen some figures that would normally be done in a larger scale in the past as nice deluxe figures.

The problem is that Classics Grimlock was just a bad figure that failed to capture the character. Unlike MP which nailed all the cool things about Grimlock's G1 look.

    I would prefer they either

    1. Go for MP dinobots (the REST of them, not grimmy)

    or

    2. Go for Classics Voyager Dinobots.

tbh, Grimlock classics sucked, but we got MP grimlock. He works PERFECTLY FINE on the classics line in scale. I have no complaints. Give other characters a chance

I like classics grimlock in dino mode, but I have issues with his robot mode. So, I would be game for a new grimlock and other other dinobots in voyager size. MP Grimlock is wonderful, but he is nowhere near classic scale.

I have been debating using the G1 Dinobots as a substitute in the meantime.

I actually think MP Grimlock is to large with the rest of the Classics line.

    You didn't get the memo??

We are allowed to be ingrates now because we have 3rd party groups giving us what the HasTakTo won't!!! :)

I'd rather get the other Dinobots before getting another Grimlock...

The scale is wrong. Ive no problem with Powerglide being the size he was in the classics range, but Grimlock should not have to look up to Optimus Prime under any circumstances.

I would love a new, bigger, Classics Grimlock (and I'd like the other Dinobots to be released too) but I doubt it'll happen.

I know a lot of people use MP Grimlock, which is definitely an amazing and better looking figure than the Deluxe Classics, as a stand in in their Classics collection but I'd like to keep my Classics collection filled with "updated" G1 characters, not straight G1 (same reason why I put Faith Leader and Delicate Warrior on my G1 MP shelf).

I've been wondering how MP Grimlock could be modified to fit better in the Classics line for me but I still haven't found a nice way to do it.

    What he said.

I'd rather see the rest of the Dinobots get the Classics treatment before we get a new Classics Grimlock.

I've said it before, I'll say it again:

Supposedly the designers get wind of our little wishlists and make some of them a possibility, so why waste time asking for figures that are already done, however substandard some might think, and instead ask hard and heavy for the stuff we don't have yet? IF for some reason a new Classics Grimlock gets made before the rest of the Season 1-3 cast, I think my head will explode.
