    LIVE ACTION PINK ELEPHANTS!!!

This looks great but I can't get too excited cuz I'm usually disappointing by Burton films.

Maybe it’s just the music, but the first third of that trailer looked like a horror movie until Dumbo was revealed.

This movie could be great, but knowing a certain someone (or two) he will hate it for the sake of it and perhaps will make baseless claims like calling it "The grown up version" and dark and gritty remake when it's neither of these things.

The original was grown upish if you stop and think.

Cruelty and neglect=Everyone making fun of him. Not letting him eat.

Animal abuse= Allowing bratty ass kid to pull on his tail and ears, multiple people whipping his mother and roping her down.

Showing another race in a positive light

    Accidental underage drinking.

Taking a youngster away from his mother because she tried to defend her baby.

I'm not...really sold on it to tell ya the truth. But I hope any of you who go to see it enjoy it.

Well this looks creepy, and also misses what made the original memorable. Y'know, like it being ABOUT the animals? NOT about the humans? Because it certainly seems here that Dumbo will just be a silent side character and the movie is about the family running the circus.
Also, this is Tim Burton, and the guy pretty much ruined his reputation for me with his latest movies being absolutely terrible, like both Alice movies and especially the abysmal Dark Shadows.

I still don't understand what is the bloody point of Disney remaking classic animated movies in a NOT animated format. I mean, if you want to experiment with new animation techniques and remake them in CGI, maybe with Pixar, I'd be OK with that, but there are simply things that work better in animation because of the fluidity of movement, the facial expressions, that are just not possible to do with real actors.

The thing is, Disney's demographic in 12-17 are currently lower than 11 and under for the current animated films and their 20's and higher who grew up with these classic movies.

The reason for live action, is that kids who think they are too grown up for "cartoon movies" get tricked into watching these new films since its live action and "cooler".

As well as introducing kids 16 and under to movies they probably have never seen unless parents, older siblings and grandparents show them it, and even if they do, it falls under the previous "Not cool to watch" mentality.

I do wish they would ease it up, but for classic tales like Jungle Book as there will always be more incarnations and the live action sequel to Winnie the Pooh, I do not mind seeing those kind of stories handled.

Are there really kids who think they are too grown up for cartoon movie? Huh...
You'd think with an ever growing population of the Earth, catering to the younger audiences would be the main selling point.
I am glad we get a proper Jungle Book movie from Andy Serkis, I liked the Disney one just fine but each time I am thinking about rewatching it I realize how hollow and forgettable it was...

Nice to see the mouse is in it. Looks like the kids may replace the crows.

That was just okay. Without any talking animals it just feels like an ordinary "animal protagonist with human cast" film, which are enjoyable enough I suppose but not really the same as having a world of talking animals.

I'm sure it will be tearjerking with Dumbo and his mother. But except maybe the pink elephants sequence, I don't see anything too special about this.

Is it just me or does everyone in this poster just look kind of confused rather than, say, surprised, awed, or happy?
