Holy f, that's a sentence. Try sobering up before you log in.
After what Barber did to the Predacon's in that crappy Revolutionaries book, I'm surprised there isn't more backlash. But then again that might be because no one read it. The only reason I knew what happened was by skimming through TF Wiki today.
The shit was worse than Costa's use of them.
1. Revolutionaries is awesome.
2. It's not like the Predacons had been doing anything substantial since the Costa run.
3. That issue finally gave us Predaking in the IDW continuity.
-It's trash, nobody here even speaks about it.
-Costa's portray of them was better as I've already mentioned. Evil human factions making mindless minions out of TF's is way passed tired!
-Predaking's long awaited debut did him no justice! It was Spike vs Scrapper all over again.... It was basically "Hello and goodnight"!
If that bs is your idea of satisfaction then we've got nothing else to talk about....
If this is what we have to look forward to now that TAAO is over and Scott is now doing some similar crossover crap that features more Transformers getting screwed over? If so well count me out!
I'll admit it was a little disappointing for Predaking's first outing, but if you really think Predaking is dead and gone and will never be seen again, you're just being dense.
Personally, I'm really tired of this "argle blargle chocolate in my peanut butter" nonsense.
^ Not to interrupt the thread discussion but did they explain Predaking's combination?
Yeah, it was kind of just an off-hand reference that the Predacons had been messing with combiner tech prior to that issue.
I always appreciate things being sourced.
For me at least, it's not a matter of chocolate in my peanut butter, it's the execution of it.
If this universe was set up to be an all inclusive Hasbro verse, from the beginning I'd be more forgiving. But all of this other stuff is being forced into an 11 year long ongoing story.
That said, I do enjoy Revolutionaries and Rom vs TF Shining Armor. They are fun Crossover side stories I just hate the big event books that derail the standalone stories.
Off topic, but my two cents: Revolutionaries is a breath of fresh air amongst the heavily themed or plotted other books. It's not that I don't like the politics, but when you get that and the relentless melodrama, it's great to sometimes have something that doesn't take itself too seriously.
The Shining Armour title is the one I am most looking forward to now as well, and I think that's because it's a fresh view. That is, not just utilising alien races in Transformers, but basing the story within that context. And focusing on one character primarily rather than an ensemble cast.
Freshness is what IDW TF massively needs IMO. Far too much baggage for the main titles now. I don't just mean I want throwaway stories like Revolutionaries in the main titles, but a truly fresh direction and feel. I would prefer it to be delivered there in the mains, but if it can't be then Shining Armour will do just fine for the time being.
I'm digging Shining Armor, myself. It's a good read.
And that art.
Did anyone else think Starscream's true form looked like MTMTE/LL Hot Rod?
Sure as hell it didn't look or feel even remotely "Starscreamy", in any aspect. Conceptually, the artist dropped the ball on this one.
But yeah, it does like like MTME Rodimus's knock-off repaint.
...Am I really the first person to make this comparison?
It’s better with the ramjet version of the mold
i love revolutionaries.
