Yeah, I really hope that they use the vocoder effect for Soundwave's voice.

Don't care much if Megatron's voice is going to sound rough.

Damn fucking straight. The fact that it's still an open question frightens me. To have a Soundwave without the vocoder voice would be a major disaster.

Orci may just spicing this up for supense.

More than likely Soundwave have a vocoder/monotone voice.

    Beat me to it!

Based on the last movie, this is a possibility!

    Although, I hope not.

Good point. Maybe his "vocal processors were damaged in battle", too. Either that, or there's some sort of TFstd goin' around, and Ratchet was covering for Bumblebee in front of the humans.

Just a theory. You know who sounds like a rougher-voiced Megatron?

I think it would be brilliant if Soundwave spoke and sounded exactly like Wall-E. :D

I like the idea of Megatron having a rougher voice, but I still hope they keep Weaving on as the VA for it. He did a great job in the last movie and I'd like to see him reprise the role.

I'm ambivalent about using a vocoder effect on Soundwave. If done right, it can sound cool, but most of the time, it just makes the character's dialogue difficult to understand.

Isn't like, every robot voice in the movie already robotic filtered?

We just need his voice to be all calm and jazz.
