who would he fight? there arent alot of water based transformers in the movie.
As awesome as it would be i just think it'd be a huge waste of funds and screen time.

Tidal Wave would be pretty darn awesome! There has been Aircraft Carriers in each movie. It could be used to keep the Miltiary occupied, away from the main fight. No blasted railguns!

Oh, I thought you guys wanted an actual tidal wave in the movie or something.

Prime: Autobots! Tidal wave is approaching! Transform ... and roll out!

Ironhide: But Optimus! Sam, Leo and agent Simmons are in the city where the tidal wave is approaching!

    Prime: Heh. I know ...

If he does make it in, be prepared for very little screentime. A robot that size would take massive production and render time alone - and this would need to have water particles included!

I think the whole writing team wanted him but budget and "better ideas" prevented it. Wouldn't he be as big as Devastator or bigger? ILM would have a field day with that one :lol

Even if Tidal Wave did make it into Transformers 3, he'll probably get offed in an anticlimactic fashion, like in ROTF where
Devastator got killed by a rail gun.

Even as staunch a defender over several aspects of the moieverse as I am, Devastator met a pathetic end. It was so amazing to behold his formation, and then comes the Deus Ex Machina out of nowhere.

Exactly. I feel if Tidal Wave is in TF3, he'll meet the same un-epic end, unless Ehren Kruger is a better writer than I think.

I'd rather have Trypticon as an aircraft carrier: full on Godzilla homage with an aircraft carrier turning into a dinosaur and rising out the sea onto land to battle someone like (or preferrably, is) Omega Supreme.
