Well, I'm a year away from getting my MD. So technically, I'm not a doctor yet. I'm planning on going into kidneys. You know, cause they look like the bean that they're named after.

B) Debesh is a well respected member of this board who has better medical qualifications than anyone else i am aware of on here. So it makes sense to heed his advice rather than any Dr. Joe Google...

 

How can you trademark ellipse points?? That would be like me saying I trademarked the question mark, or the letter "F".

Dude, that's nothing to mess around with!

Not sure about yours, but some window units run on 220v (similar to your dryer), which is double what's coming out of the sockets in your house. Whether it was 110 or 220, being in wet conditions certainly contributed to the problem. Glad you're ok.

 

But isn't it the amps that he would be worried about, not the voltage??

 

I got shocked off a 220V oven once while standing on a wet floor. Damn, that hurt. My arm and hand was numb for a couple days. I've gotten shocked before, but that one was the worst.

I'm not trying to be "Dr. Google" or anything, just speaking from experience. I didn't go to the doctor then, and there were no adverse effects or burns.

By all means, go to the hospital if you really want to, I personally wouldn't waste the time and money, especially if there's no burns or anything.

 

Yes, amps measure the amount of current flowing into your body during a shock, but I was trying to use terms people are familiar with rather than speak 'electrician'.

Regardless, 220 has a much greater chance of stopping your heart or causing burns to the skin. I brushed up against a 220 line one time and it feels significantly different than 110.

I stuck my finger into a dishwasher in the UK about two years ago. I was blown off my feet and knocked out for a good two minutes... my chest, arms, legs and head hurt for days after... It's not a fun experience at all...

Also, if you're thinking of claiming for the camera, remember it wasn't an act of nature that did it!
