I'd like to cover up or remove the thunder graphic on Thundershred, has anyone tried to remove it or have you successfully covered it with a reprolabel?

I was looking at just covering it with a reprolabel, but it looks too big and might still show on the edges of the reprolabel.

Pics of examples would really help, or a safe way to remove the tampo'd graphic.

    Thanks yall!

Rubbing alcohol works to remove the tampographed symbol.

Just the stuff from the store? How do you apply? Cotton ball? How does it affect the plastic?

Q tip works the best - don't let it run everywhere, since it could remove paint that you might want to keep. The higher concentration of alcohol the better. Check the tutorials and discussions in the radicons forums for lots and lots of info.

i don't like that chest logo to begin with. it should have been an optional sticker.

90% Isopropyl Alcohol from the drug store works best. The regular 76% takes a lot longer to work.

Just apply with a q-tip or cotton ball, and scrub it gently until it rubs off. For a bigger paint removal jobs, you can just dunk the parts in an alcohol bath for a couple of hours, and the paint should wash right off.

The alcohol shouldn't effect the plastic adversely at all. I've heard that it can fog translucent plastics temporarily, but a light buffing (or maybe it was a second light wipe with the alcohol. I've never had to bother with it before) takes the foggy residue right off.

I use 91% rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball. Sometimes it takes a little elbow grease, but it's very effective in removing paint or markings. I've never had a problem with rubbing alcohol deteriorating the plastic.

I have seen pics where a Decepticon sticker is used in addition to that marking, and to be honest, it looked pretty good.

Yeah, I think I'm going to keep the tampos on my insecticons but also add a Decepticon insignia somewhere else. The insecticons can be their own little gang with their own special symbols :thumbs2:

    Thanks Alucard!!

Hmm...interesting. I don't hate it, but... Haha. Yeah, I hate to change the creators vision. I usually prefer to keep a toy as is because that is how it was created by it's designer to fit into a larger aesthetic.

Well, I'll have to think about this. :)
