    Nope, not that.
    Shark
Was only in the show and never made into a toy.
Its probably the fins that's giving me a Shark vibe rather than Thunderhawk.

That is awesome Donnie. It really captures the fun of MASK.

Makes me want to revisit some of my GIJoe custom crossovers I've been wanting to do.

Ah! Never seen that before. The rear fins are very similar, though. That's pretty cool.

Thanks Boggs, you lovely lovely man.

That is an excellent custom. It fits the toy perfectly and makes me wish that there was an anniversary MASK line.

Can I redeem said hug anywhere hugs are sold?

I would buy them. Then I would have two things that I spend too much money on.

From what I've seen it looks like there was never a real Shark toy, but there's some German guy that kitbashes a working toy of one, custom box and all, and sells them on ebay every so often.

    That's a custom.

Donocropolis, anymore MASK customs in progress? There seems to be quite a few bikes from other lines that might work.

Yesterday I kind of took a quick look through the toy aisle to see if there was anything that jumped out at me. Again, the Ben 10 car thing would make a good Stinger with a little work.

Anyone familiar with GI Joe know of any good figures that could be repainted/parts switched to make good MASK characters? Obviously there are a few Cobra Commanders that have blue military type uniforms that would make good bodies for Miles Mayhem, but I don't know enough about Joe to think of any good heads for him.

I'd recommend checking out our sister site, HissTank.com - G.I. Joe Toy and Movie News and Discussion as well as a message board for M.A.S.K., Matt Trakker.com MASK M.A.S.K. ran by a buddy of mine. :thumb

I like this custom so much that I just bought two of those batman cars.

Does the figure fit in the car fine? Just asking because the Joe figures seem a little taller than those batman figures the car comes with.

He fits, but not as well as the figures that come with it. The problem isn't really the height so much as the fact that you can't make the GI Joe's legs bend into a sitting position and still be next to eachother. The Joe hips force the legs to be slightly spread (Matt Trakker is no proper lady) when sitting, and the cockpit was made for a figure with legs tightly together. He will fit with a bit of fiddiling, though.

    Anyway, glad you liked it!

How did you get such a gloss finish? so far my attempts at using krylon fusion either results in a dry brushed finish or lay it on heavy and have goopy mess that has spots that dont stick in areas.

I highly recommend ultra-thin coats. coat from 2-3 feet away, once every 1-2 minutes. it'll look airbrushed on when finished.

Amazing paint job on that thing. I love that car. Bought it when it was $25, but a few places have it on sale now.
Kmart here has it for $15 now. It's a great toy and it's neat how Bruce changes to Batman when the seat spins around. Was wondering if you were going to use 2 Matt Tracker figs for the gimmick

Exactly what he said. I've always found that with any spraypaint your best off doing a whisper-thin first coat. It won't cover much, but it lays down a good foundation for painting the rest. After that I put on another slightly thicker (but still fairly thin) coat every time the previous is dry enough not to run until its covered to my liking.

I only have the one Matt Trakker (have realized since my first post that I've been spelling it wrong), but it could probably be done. Once stripped of all his kibble, he passes well enough as a normal guy in a racing jumpsuit. I say probably work because he's a little tighter in the cockpit then the figures the car originally came with as mentioned above, but again a little fiddling would probably get the gimmick to work.

I've actually been looking at maybe making some fold out wings that would just fold under the car. It's pretty empty down there, so it should work. I'd hate to loose the missile launchers. Everything is better with missiles, plus they're true to the bombs from the original.
