I think this could make a cool movie to cash-in on the success of the Transformers movie, not as a live-action but as a Mocap animated movie.

It got me thinking when i saw Rise of the Apes in theaters being amazed by WETA's Mocap technology and watching Thundercats (New) afterwards that it could be it even when i saw the new stills for TinTin.

WETA should do it including the animation for it and could make the Thundercats believable and can be based on the old Thundercats show. They can also conquer the dead-eye effect and wouldn't have robotic acting like on Polar Express but actual body movements.

It won't bridge the uncanny valley as well.

They were originally planning to make a cg movie, but dropped it, and decided to make the series instead.

I'm quite happy with the new series. If they made a movie that differed greatly from what we have now then it's possible Cartoon Network would change it to be more in line with the movie or just make a new series. That is my fear anyway. If they leave the series as is then it couldn't hurt to have a movie bring more attention to the franchise.

i'd be happiest if they didn't make a movie, hollywood would only find some way to ruin it by changing too much.

i think it's best as a series anyways.
