I got tired of not being able to see Thrusts head so I slid out the front part of the cockpit blocking his head and glued it on to the other half of the cockpit. Now his head sits up higher and can look around some.

Yeah, I did the same thing with my Breakaway when I first got him a while back.

Did you paint him too? Looks great.

    Does it affect the transformation?

No. It just makes the cockpit one piece.

Did this recently to my Thrust as well. It really helps his look, I think. Nice job on the paint too.

It looks much better now. Hasbro's designers failed horribly with the heads on Thrust and Breakaway.

Yup--did this to my Thrust when I first got him. Inspired by people doing the same thing to their Breakaway. It's sad that his head is on this hinge/neck, but it's all blocked by that front canopy section. He's so much better modded.

Love the paint apps on yours. Overall, he looks awesome!

    Nice!

Mampy, really? I kind of like the friendly Johnny Five-esque look of Breakaway's head :)

Funny that I just did a head mod to this guy yesterday when you first posted this. I was debating between the mod for making it slide out and the one you did with the glued together pieces. I still might go back and glue mine like you did. I like that you painted his face. The stock version seems like they weren't even trying by making it all black but giving it purple light piping

great job. here's something you might want to do - the hinge that carries the canopy, if you dig the notch it goes into back a little further (or create one, mine's been this way for so long), you can actually tuck the canopy behind his head. looks really cool. i'll see if i have some pics for it.

Hasbro didn't design their heads, the movie designers did.

Just did this to both my Breakaway and Thrust. It took me about 30 mins to do both. Was a fast and easy mod.Don't know why the makers didn't do it in the first place.

I did it to mine weeks ago and it makes the figure go from "meh" to "zowie".

I did it to my Breakaway and the next morning I was handling the figure in jet mode and dropped him - upside down. The canopy split where it was glued so it wasn't too much of a catastrophe.
