Either I caught the second half of it, or it's a new, shorter trailer that I just saw. I heard the familiar "There's a new bot" voice over, then a close up of Wheeljack's face, followed by Starscream yelling "WAAAAAAAH!". That was it, more or less. I didn't get to hear Wheeljack's voice.

Starscream really does not like Wheeljack, it seems. Screaming like a petulant child with a fat face. Please don't punch him in the chest, Mr. Starscream.

 

Not Phil Lamarr, but it sounds familiar from somewhere. Doesn't sound very G1 from the commercial though. I only said Samurai Jack because He's Wheeljack and he has swords. As much as I love jack, he shouldn't have swords. Maybe a giant drill that'll pierce the heavens. Or something.

 

Are they like "sword" swords? Or just arm blades like Optimus and Ratchet?

 

Yeah I would be very VERY surprised to see wheeljack get killed off in this one. However he may have the typical "cast-think-hes-dea-but-really-hes-buried-in-the-desert(or something)" which would kinda tick me off but thats what I am expecting. Would be AMAZING if he joins the main cast(maybe fill up cliff's place on the team?)

 

It'd be neat if they were his own custom weapons that he made for himself. I'm guessing the blades will have some relevance to his personality.

 

Sword swords that he has to hold. I like the idea, just not on Wheeljack. the melee weapons idea needs to be taken further though. I would love it if they had someone like Lugnut with a giant Goldion Hammer-esque weapon.

 

Hmm...The more I hear about this version of Wheeljack, the more I'm thinking that people expecting an actual G1 WJ in personality is in for a letdown.
This guy might only be Wheeljack in name and appearance.

 

His design is excellent. It takes all of the good cues from the G1 design and gives them a nice update.

Yeah, this. He looks G1 as hell, but I'm expecting his personality to be a far cry from the original.

He seems to be more Prime Cliffjumper-y.

 

I'm anxious to hear his voice and how close it is to Latta's interpretation. Love the design. I'm hoping for a G1 mad scientist style character.

 

Anyone want to take guesses how Wheeljack arrives on Earth? If the space bridge is gone, then how else will he get here? Maybe he's been in stasis on Earth for a long time, like Skyquake?

I think it'd be great if Wheeljack speaks in so much techno-jargon that no-one (except Bulkhead) immediately understands him!

He can punch him in the chest, so long as Wheeljack gets to blow him up afterwards!  

 

The only problem is that life expectancy after being chestpunched by Starscream is incredibly short, if Cliffjumper is anything to go by.

I just saw the same commercial I saw earlier. It's really short with just one shot of Wheeljack's face followed by Starscream yelling. Still waiting to see the one with his swords and dialog.

 

Oh, yes. Poor Cliff... Though technically, Starscream didn't punch him. He impaled him (i think).

 

He did. Though he used his fingers to do it.

 

So we're both right. Hooray!

 

Has there been ANY video for the epi. 8 priview?

 

Not yet, unfortunately. Just the two small trailers. I'm dying to see it myself (if we even get one).

 

Well I recall three. The one that aired after each Scrapheap rerun, the short spot with Starscream being angry, and the long one with Wheeljack's swords that aired during Dan VS. today.
