I think lf l cobbled up some bigger better feetsies, and some kind of filler back piece (anklysaurus shell?) l would be happy displaying him in combined mode.....zo maybe 2 sets for me.....

I'll buy all of them, but not going to combine them.

Do you own it? I ask because folks who own it complain that it is almost completely unposable. The limbs are too heavy. I personally think that design is okay but too "beefy" for my tastes.

I'll reserve judgment on Volcanicus until its released and folks have more time to fiddle with it. I also want to see what it looks like in final colors. Right now it actually doesn't look bad IMO. It seems to fit in with the G1 aesthetic of the other combiners.

Noooot a fan. I actually like the idea of combining Dinobots, and the artwork itself is cool. But the toy itself is shaping up to be as awkward as FoC Bruticus was. At least you can plug in the extra hands to fill out his torso a bit. I like it when they think ahead and incorporate fan mode stuff into the actual design. I'm mostly bummed by the Dinobots themselves though. This is what, the first time since G1 that we actually got the entire team (not counting the movie versions) in one toyline? And they're lanky, awkward looking things of which only Swoop really looks good. The rest just vary from meh to awful, poor Sludge.

So yeah, not my thing, unfortunately. Hopefully the Terrorcons will look better.

I think it looks cool and as a G1 fan I'm all for it.

I'm so sick of "But X has never been Y before" in a franchise about things that change into other things.

I wonder if kneejerkers back then pooped their pants in the same way modern fans do.

I actually like the combined mode. But unless I legitimately run out of space, they'll stay separated.

I like the combined mode conceptually. I will try and figure out a way to get the shoulders higher and tucked in closer the the torso. I think that would help the silhouette greatly

I'll probably combine them once. After that, it's a gimmick that's easily ignored.

I've said this in other threads that I don't have a problem with a mcguffins as long as it makes sense in the story. Now, do find that sometimes in stories a mcguffin is just there for no rhyme or reason and that does get annoying, but repeating it...okay now that's just plain dumb as shit.

It has that vague pseudo-Latin thing a lot of combiners have. Plus, its better than Extinction.

Seriously, I'm still annoyed how many people liked that name. I was against it back in the day and still remain so.

I'm pretty sure the name Volcanicus is an obscure reference to Volcanicon, the Decepticon Dinobot Combiner made for the AOE Kreon line. If it's not a reference it's a pretty big coincidence. I'm still surprised that the didn't go with Grimstone, which has been used for the PCC Dinobot combiner as well as the Autobot Dinobot Combiner is the same Kreon line as Volcanicon.

In my opinion, the Dinobora should never be a combiner following the G1 era. Nut im curious to see where hasbro goea with this.

Volcanicus? Really? What happen to Dinoking?

Thanks for clearing that up. Is he from the Japan series then? If so, then I wouldn't really know about him.

Yes. He was in Victory - comprised of the inner robots from Monstructor (different decos) but with Dinosaur-based shells instead of monster ones
