I know, and like I said overall they're great it's just the symbol that bothers me. I wanted to see if others have smooth G1 looking symbols or do they look like mine?

Not a clear image, at all. Any angled line or the curved part in the symbol is jagged.

    For example: [IMG]

I'd rather not have that on any of my figures.

I think they're a great idea and many of the sets are innovative, but too expensive.

I don't think it's that expensive - depending on the set - when you consider the cost of printing and such. I'd like to see other people post pics though of what they have so I can get a good look at the symbols though.

Can someone please explain to me how a small business like reprolabels obtains the rights to use logos copyrighted and owned by Hasbro? I'm asking out of curiosity.

    Great product, great people.

But prepare to be driven to Galvatron-levels of insanity when applying the WST stickers.

Some of the G1 sets are a bit "pricey" but considering it's either reprolabels or ebay you could end up spending more on a real sticker sheet. If you manage to find one that is.

A quick snip with nail scissors can fix that. It looks like its not jagged at all, its simply following the shape of the symbol so there's a consistent bleed/boundary around the symbol. Personally, I prefer that.

Well to each his own. I'm just comparing it to my G1 figures that still have stickers on them and it's smooth as silk. If you have any that you didn't change stickers on hold them up against the image I posted, you'll see what I mean.

    For example my G1 Bluestreak.

i think he means the pixelated look of the actual printing. That appears to be the norm on sets i've gotten as well. it seems like a new printing process , the printer passes arn't as smooth as they used to be. i noticed on older sets ( still pre-cut) that they re-arraned the sheets a bit, and now print white ink, not just print on white stock. however, on my actual faction symbol sheets, they are perfect. only seems to be a problem on the symbols that come on full set sheets.

    records > cd's
    Analog> digital
    Silkscreen > inkjet

Thanks Jaxx. So you're saying if I purchased the sheet of just the symbol it would be okay? I might just do that then if you say they look better than the individual sheets.

yeah, i just went over all my kits, and it seems all the ones printed on metalic paper are more jagged printing. the stickers are perfect, except for those faction stickers. i checked my white stock sets ( classics prowl, and special silver on clear movie set, and my clear backed faction) and the printing is PERFECT smooth.

it looks like it's just a simple printer pass issue with the metalic paper. Vector graphics shouldn't print digitized like that. i get different results on my own printer every now and them with color tone, depending on the ink level, so technical issues sometimes happen.

    Still A++ product and service.

Hmm. Now I just need to figure out which sets to pick up, white, clear or silver! Most of the G1 guys use the silver background, right? I know Prowl is white and I think Jazz as well but the rest strike me as silver.

Is the bluestreak set pink like the G1 sticker :)
