Basically what do you stand on the original Transformers show.

    Is it your favorite

    do you hate it

Where does it stand on your all time best TF show? For me its my favorite show but the first and third Bay movies are my all time favorite parts for Transformers.

For it's time, it was amazing, and it's still watchable and entertaining today, especially for younger audiences. Animation and storytelling in cartoons have advanced a lot since the mid-80s, but it still stands out as a classic of the era.

And for those of us who saw it during the original run, it'll probably always have a very special place in our memories.

Even as 7 year old I always thought that the cartoon was pants on head ******ed and I could never finish a single episode of it.

The toys however I couldn't get enought of.

    What he said.

Though there have been other shows since, G1 remains the iconic version of Transformers for me - when I think of a given character, I'll usually think of the G1 incarnation. It remains my favorite among all the shows, along with Prime and Beast Wars. Plus the toys that inspired it were simply awesome.

It was the best thing ever when I was young. Re-watching it now, though, it's not the greatest. But, I still love it. OP is exactly how I remember him.

It's pretty stupid but fun to watch like the old Adam West Batman.

This times a million! I'd kind of liken it to the Adam West Batman as Autovolt rightly pointed out, I'm currently watching that and I'm absolutely loving it! Meanwhile, at the Stately Wayne Manor......!

It's fun to watch every now and then.
Not my favorite. In fact, the majority of the shows are better

I don't, look at stuff like pokemon and Power Rangers, they don't stimulate ones brain in anyway whatsoever but look at the uber success they've both enjoyed!

    Marvel>Sunbow and all that.

I'd like to know how you came to this conclusion, when most kids don't know about Primus at all.

    Oh, that's right. You didn't.

I respect it as the first, the one that gave way to all Transformers series that came after it. It was really ridiculous though. I consider it to be like all inventions. I respect Ford for creating the Model T, but I still prefer modern cars.

The Quintessons created the Transformers, 'cuz G1 said so.

    I don't believe in Primus.

No. I love the idea of Cybertron being one big factory run by the Quintessons. Let that fool Sunstorm pray to Primus.

G1 will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who saw it when they were younger. It was fun at the time and that's what matters.

Great writing as far as fun, smart character dialogue. Awful storytelling. Animation is all over the place. There are better TF shows, but the G1 cartoon can't be replaced.
