he's quite right. do a poll with options divided by age group, and have a like or dislike option for each age group.

I'm sure atleast a few people around here that did like it have stopped visiting this forum as well. I'm almost one of them, but I still like to peek in now and then and see how bad it is. It's like a car or train wreck, you can't help but look. There's just too damned much negativity here, from both sides. It's just impossible to discuss the movie in any way without some jackoff or two popping in and ruining things by slinging insults or getting on their soapboxes for the umpteenth time.

I'm honestly surprised, and given the experience from the fallout after the first movie, that the TFW Admin staff let things get so bad again. I mean, I understand not wanting to censor or police people's opinions or whatever, but there has to be a point when you say, "Allright, enough is enough".

EDIT: Bah, too slow with the post change. Ah well.

 

I almost get the vibe that they are promoting the hate. I mean come on "Tell the critics that they are dumb dumb poopy pants" type contests really don't paint the fans in a very positive light.

Definitely true for me. I usually avoid this forum like the plague because it gets so tiring and is such a downer to have something I loved attacked so viciously and repeatedly over and over and over and ugh.

I'd love a forum where I could discuss the movie with fellow fans without having the usual "omg it wuz teh wurst movie EVAR micheal bay ruind my childhood agen!!!".

An analogy:
TFW2005 is for fans of Transformers to discuss Transformers. Let's pretend for this analogy that the 2007 and 2009 movies never existed. Now iImagine if there was a relentless group of people who hated everything about Transformers (the toys, cartoons, the '86 movie, etc) who came to TFW2005 every day and were in every sub-forum and every thread relentlessly bashing Transformers and those who love them. How much fun would you find TFW2005? How much would you come here?

I'm not saying people who didn't like ROTF should shut up and leave, but... there's such a thing as tact and respectful opinon sharing. I guess what I don't understand is how it seems to be a real mission to many of them to convert people to hating ROTF.

 

I liked it and I like long walks on the beach and JAaM.

 

Unless the OP is compiling a demographic based on which ages of people liked the movie. He can have a census of any kind. You're ASSuming that the OP is compiling information in a certain way. Again, you believe that you are important because you know what is going on. And again, stop hijacking other people's threads with your negativity.
