I realize these are G rated movies.

how can you marry someone when you've never slept with them. these couples barely get a kiss in near the end of the movie. most of the time these couples only get to first base then their seen getting married at the last minute of the movie.

It's just very Un-realistic for all these made for TV movies. To show a woman or mom getting married to a stranger. she just met a few weeks ago.

Sorry, these movies seem like they belong in the 1920's not the 2000's.

Youre talking about movies where sex is treated as literally non-existant. It's the same reason why Elmer Fudd gets all the way to a wedding with a cross-dressing Buggs Bunny without figuring out he's in a Warner Brothers version of The Crying Game.

I mean shit, it's not like these movies treat pretty much any aspect of relationships as a non-idealized stereotype.

Are these the made for TV Lifetime movies where someone who doesn't have much of a career left after there 1970's TV show was cancelled and has to do something, lol.
These are dumb down to the writing and acting, it's BAD.

Certain peoples DO believe in marriage before sex, you know. While I'm not saying that's right or wrong, they do have a point in that there's more to love than just making it.

Marrying someone you only recently met is a ridiculously prevalent trope among love stories, especially in those that are kid-friendly. Besides, movies aren't meant to be a realistic account of a plausible scenario, they're just to make you feel good in a rather short period of time.

Very easily. Happens quite often, actually. You don't need to see your partner's genitals in order to know that their your soul mate. Believe it or not, you can be in a great relationship with someone and have never engaged in sexual intercourse.

And I sort of feel like you're addressing very separate issues here. "Sex before marriage" and "marrying someone who you've just recently met". They're not synonymous.

It's a typical "fairy tale" scenario.

But also, this. Noideaforaname should change is name to Seemstobequitelogical.

Movies like that are why Ryan Reynolds quit acting for a year. He got tired of playing the son of every washed up soap actress.
