Transformers Prime could use a real mystery to spice things up. A "who done it" murder mystery or 1st person view of someone watching the bots for several episodes. A hand on the chair watching the Cons work but no face shown....lol

What do you think. Do you feel they've already had a mystery element or don't need one?

Pretty sure Breakdown could fill that spot once he goes back to the Decepticons. :D

    It already has one.

I mean, it's a complete mystery as to why this show has been so slow in introducing lasting characters that a CGI TF show using inferior technology (Beast Wars) had SEVERAL new characters at this point. Heck, the toy line itself is already at the repaint stage (with the repaints being sold right next to their original mold releases, no less).

My idea is that the mystery for Season 2 could be uncovering the truth about how the Insecticon pods came to Earth years ago. The pods came to Earth by Shockwave when he was studying prehistoric Earth to get samples for his experament and to discover if the resources were enough to use to bring back Cybertron. Airachnid would be revelaed to be a former general of the Insecticon army. Then Shockwave comes into play allied with the Quintessons to use Earth's resources for Cybertron by using a machine which drains a planet of out it's life source completly.

    Interesting idea.

I could see Ratchet in a deerstalker hat, smoking a pipe, and using a magnifying glass to look for clues with his trusty partner Bumblebee following him on his adventures.

    Who murdered Starscream?

Inspector Soundwave conducted an investigation of the notorious Seeker Slaughter, and concluded it was one of three suspects.

    1. Lord Megatron, leader of the Decepticons. His hatred for the victim has never been doubted, and yet Megatron claims that it couldn't have been him who murdered the Seeker, because he had been walking down a corridor at the time of the murder. Vehicon#144 supports this alibi, stating he had been talking to Megatron at the time of Starscream's death.

    2. Bulkhead, Autobot Wrecker. Bulkhead stubbornly stands by his innocence, stating that there was no way in the Pit he could have been aboard the Nemesis, where the murder took place. Inspector Soundwave accepts this excuse, especially with back-up claims from the other Autobots. For now.

    3. Starscream, former SIC to the Decepticons. Starscream firmly rebukes any claims that he murdered Starscream, since he, like Bulkhead, could not have been aboard the Nemesis at the time when Starscream was murdered, having been sitting in the Harbinger when it happened. Megatron has insisted Starscream is guilty, but so far, evidence does not point in Starscream's direction.

Who really killed Starscream? Was it indeed Megatron, the tyrannical warlord? Bulkhead, an enemy to the Decepticon cause? Starscream, a treacherous snake?

    You decide.

Next week, Inspector Soundwave looks into the disappearance of beloved animal carer, Airachnid.

You mean like something in the vein of the old Scooby shows? That would be awesome to see, definitely.

It has a number of mysteries:

"When is anything interesting going to happen?"
"Will anything that already has happened have any lasting effects?"
"Will they ever learn how to write a not-boring Optimus?"
"Will ANY of the stupid plot elements ever be explained?"
    "Why Miko?"

    I'd watch that.

My guess is if a mystery began it would be either Soundwave behidn it or is in conhorts with Shockwave and Sideways.
