I debated about whether or not to start a thread here or just update the "In the Life of a Radicon" thread
, but I figured that starting another thread wouldn't hog the other thread.

As many of you know, I've been in graduate school for quite a while. I've had many times of on again/off again board time and customs time mostly due to school work. I've been plugging away for 4.5 years now (my program was around 100 credit hours). As of Friday morning, though, I now have my master's degree!

I've never been a fall graduate at an institution, so that was a little odd for me. The whole experience was very surreal, as I was thinking back at how I felt when I was first looking at the school and such. The ceremony was fantastic, and the speaker said some really great things (of which I did take notes). The place was packed (with two spill over rooms with a live video feed), and I know my family was glad they got there early. I was able to speak to most of the professors I've had over the years who've greatly impacted my life after the ceremony as well.

Lisa (my wife) took her camera with her, and I spent a little bit of time in Photoshop (which felt odd since I haven't used Photoshop in so long :lol ) doctoring up photos just a tad. Between all of our family being here (just parents, but still), I had very little time to do anything like this, but I always enjoy Lisa's photography work and I wanted to be able to share some photos with you guys asap. I deplore time stamps, so I took the school's logo and placed over them. Also, some of you guys have been asking for a photo of myself with Lisa, so I figured it would give me an opportunity to do that as well. Anyways, I thought I'd post em here to share with you guys:

    [ATT]18961[/ATT]

    . . . and with Lisa:

    [ATT]18962[/ATT]

(at the reception, the seminary also gave each of the wives their PHT* degree. I think we'll frame that one too :)  )

    [*Putting Honey Through]

It's been a very difficult, fun, tiresome, enlightening journey, but it's over for now. I'm still weighing my options and looking towards the future. I would like to say that TFW2005.com has been a great support for me, especially during times that I needed a small distraction. Moreover, Radicons has been the best place on the whole Internet for me. I've been blessed to do and share a great many things with you guys (I've even shared Radicons in class before too). Many of you guys have been so very supportive of me and my pursuit. REDLINE and plowking: thank you guys so very much for all that you've given me with your support and your brotherhood. I've had many hard days and nights that I know I wouldn't have gotten past were it not for you two. I love you both.

Also, thank you Radicons for always encouraging me over the years in each of my project threads, knowing that I've sacrificed a lot just to make a project, let alone post it. To all of the Radicons: thank you for being my friend; I really appreciate everything :)

Congrats, SQ7! Thrilled for you! And since this is a board all about "look what I did," it's totally appropriate!

I'd never seen a picture of your wife before; you make a beautiful couple. I noticed your cast... I really hope the wrist is getting better, man.

    Again, AWESOME JOB. :bay

Wow, I was pleasantly surprised to see all of the posts here! Thanks so much for all of your kind words, guys. Radicons continue to rock the joint!

"Father" typically refers to priests from Catholicism, and I'm Baptist :D  I was ordained before I began my master's, which is where I picked up the nickname "REV" (from the "Reverend" prefix in my name and the RiD Spychanger of the same name from my affinity of that line). The only name change I've had this time around was Rev. Allen Greenwood, M.Div. Typically, I'd only write that out if I were sending an email or a letter. "M.Div" (Master's of Divinity) simply denotes the kind of degree I have. If one has any kind of degree from a college or a higher institution, they have all rights to denote that in places that warrant it. I think it would sound silly to introduce myself that way to people on a personal basis though :lol

I prefer "Allen", "superquad" ["superquad" is actually one of my nicknames], or "Big Al". "REV" is ok too, especially in TF land because of everything I mentioned. My custom Alt by the same name was also named out of respect to persons online nicknaming me that and to further denote all of those things :)

Ha! That photo was for you! Your comment (and the others) complimenting my wife is very much appreciated from both of us. Long story short, she had a rough "girl" day, and those comments have come at the most opportune time

Man! Here I thought I pulled off the coolest Radicons prank! Well, I'll leave it to either pk or REDLINE to close the thread :lol

Thank you for your kind words and your poetry :)

Well, it's just been 2 days with my master's degree, and I already feel stupid :lol  To what are you referring to with your last statement?
