Energon Optimus prime from 4hmpromotions....75 bucks plus 15 for shipping....

looks like its a good deal (apparently this figure commands big bucks)

however, im searching through completed items and find this auction

look at who won this auction....that seriously pisses me off so fucking much....

    i hate people....

    Personally, I don't see a problem.

If I saw something ridiculously cheap on ebay that I knew I could make a few quid on, I'd do the same thing.

If this figure can sell for $75, then the first seller obviously didn't do his research before selling - everyone had the same chance of grabbing the bargain, so well done to 4hmpromotion$ for getting it.

I don't see the problem either... Many do that to earn some bucks.
Etc buying a whole TF case at a fleamarket for e.g $20 and then be selling indvidual figures for $10 a piece.

Its a matter of doing your "homework" search for the cheapest one before buying the first one you see...
Also I got a MISB Superlink SC-01 Convoy, japanese version of energon Prime but with chrome etc, for a BIN of $35 in October.

75 bucks? So what, it's not like someone's gonna pay that much for it, you could probably get a boxed one for less.

Also, Sureshot, SC-01 may have chroming but it's also lacking the electronics, that's why it's cheaper. But I can see that many people would actually prefer it without said electronics...

...which brings up the unusual deal with Superlink, how the Japanese decepticon toys maintained their electronics but the autobots didn't, when it's usually the other way around. I wonder what was up with that?

Yup I forgot that, but you're right. But nevertheless I'm not that fond of "unnessecary" electronical gimmicks in TF's - I like the chroming better :p

    That's capitalism for you.

Well if you're really upset about it, you could probably complain to eBay about how the guy has the copyrighted Transformers soundtrack music playing as his background theme. I'm sure the RIAA would like to know about his auction.

another case of, you snooze you loose. This is why I buy things when I see them instead of waiting until they go on sale or end up on the clearance isle.

I'm sorry that this did not make no sense to you. I will explain,

There are times when I see a product I want whether or not it is a Transformer or a video game, I put it off to get it later for many reasons. Later when I come back to purchase the product, it is gone from existence and the only way I can buy it from eBay.

So this is where the old adage of "you snooze you loose" is true here, for myself or other people in similar situations.

That's how some people run their eBay biz I guess. It's still beyond me how people make a living of the profits once you subtract the ebay, paypal, and shipping fees. Lots of practice I guess....probably just let stuff sit in their storefront until it sells for some rediculous price.

Ah that makes much more sense... :)  I know exactly what you mean... I've tried wating too many times, and just ending up with a big fat 0.

Well it doesn't "speak to me" that much :) , as for the Energon line I'm only interested in Prime & Meg's/Galvy :)

I also fail to see the problem here. Does it suck? Sure, if you're looking for the figure. But I'd also do it in a heartbeat. It's called supply and demand, and it's the basis for capitalism.
