linux os, dual sdhc, mic, touchscreen, PS1 emulation, keyboard.

The touchscreen seems a bit pointless, but they might make it useful.

I can't see anywhere who it's developed by. But it looks tight at hell.

    So, it's like a hackers dream-enhanced PSP?

Who makes games for it? I'm not really sure if I believe this thing exists.

It's a side project from some of the people who made the GP2X. It's been talked about on the GP2X boards for a while getting fan feedback and suggestions. I lost track of the progress, but I came across these sites with pics.

The dual sdhc is a great choice. The touchscreen seems pointless unless it swivels.

It will mainly be for emulation and homebrew, but some small 3rd party devs could jump aboard.

It will never compete with the DS and psp as far as new games, but with emulation, and it's other features (mp3, video, internet) it could be a nice all around device.

Isn't this made by the people who were making the Phantom? AKA, you'll never see it.

No, it was just said above it's from the people who made the gp32x(which has been available for a while now).

Infinium labs is the company who keeps suckering investors for money over the phantom.

Nice, the successor to the GP2X. I've always wanted to get around to picking up a GP2X... now it looks like I wont have to. I'll just lust after this and not buy it instead... :p  (also, yay analog pad!)

For those who put this in the same category as the Phantom... I wouldn't. The GP2x is proven technology that the company has taken great pains to upgrade and refit to user specifications.

and from what I read, and I may have read it wrong, the guys fronting this project have said that the ones responsible for the "mistakes" with the GP2X are not involved with this.

At first, given the way the news came about, I never thought this would pan out, but it looks like things are moving pretty quickly.

I owned the original GP32, then got a Gp2x. I've seen sold both of them, but they are really, really, REALLY cool systems. Especially the Gp2x
