oh I agree, but I think buyers need to do a bit of research themselves, I mean really, unless it comes out of an estate sale or something no one is going to sell vintage dinobots and shockwave in that good of condition for those prices. I would expect legit versions of those in that condition to go for thousands. One of those "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is" situations.
A total douche move from this scammer. The bidders/buyers just don't know any better, which is sad. Newbs maybe. From the description: If that isn't fishy, I don't know what is. He thinks he can claim ignorance and get away with it. Someone should troll this guy hard, ask him "Why are you trying to sell KOs as legit G1s?", then bid it up to a billion dollars.
Wow, I reported him to. EBay did nothing. So basically, EBay doesn't give a shit. Check out what he sold his KO Grimlock for: Transformers Sludge G1 MISB 1984 SEALED NEW DINOBOT! | eBay Fucking $300! I hope the buyer is educated enough to know he got royally screwed!
His Shockwave auction ended with the winning bid of $171.50. Transformers Shockwave G1 MIB 1984 Hasbro! | eBay That Sludge auction had zero bids. It says "This listing was ended by the seller because the item is no longer available". Does that mean someone contacted him and offered $299.99 for him to end the auction early? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330739914657&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123
They want their fees, simple. They'll let him weasel out of it because he used "G1 Style", which technically isn't calling it G1. Although many buyers won't know the difference, or about the existence of KO's. He appears to be one of the standard weasels who claims to have acquired "large, private collections" thorough whatever means. And of course he's no expert, but he has quite a few auctions going... Scumbag. You ought to contact him and ask where he gets his KO's from, so you can get into business for yourself
I did contact him directly. Telling him, if he didn't know, he was actually selling KOs. He said he didn't know, and I gave him the link how to identify the fact that he was. When he didn't pull it, I reported him. Silly to think eBay would have done something.
