Danny Carey (the drummer) tore his bicep muscle and can't play.
I had tickets to the March 21st show in Tucson dammit. :banghead:

Also the UNACCEPTABLE part is joke. I can wait to see a good show.

It sucks about the postponement, but what are you missing?

Every Tool song sounds the same.

Yeah that's kind of an inside joke at my work. I do understand the delay and at least for now they are recheduling not cancelling. It still sucks though. And the last show in Phoenix was screwed up because some douche hit Maynard with a bottle.

No way, Tool is one of the best bands of the last 15 years. Maynard is an incredible singer with an amazing range and the band is incredibly tight. Their songwriting is impressive. Just the rhythmical complexities of their songs rival that of Rush

Good call Gabe. They have the musical complexity of Rush and the visual and multimedia savvy of Pink Floyd. A Tool concert is a magical experience.

Tool puts on the best shows I have ever seen. They're control over the emotions of the crowd is simply amazing. Shame about the postponment of the show, but I wouldn't call it unacceptable.

I wish this were true, as it would have made me like their last couple albums alot more than I did.

Yes, yes it is. I still remember the first time I was them, and I had seen a lot of rock shows, blew me away. MY buddy at work was going to go with me and see themfor the first time, I told him to keep his ticket, because he wouldn't want to miss it.

Isn't this batch of shows rescheduled from a past postponement already? o_O

They're coming to San Antonio and I'm like 'woohoo'..come to find out it's rescheduled from last September and the only seats left are behind the stage and on the roof or some shit. I'm a floor/GA man.

Some of them might be. I know on the last time around Maynard was sick when they played Phoenix, and a few shows in Texas were cancelled or postponed. I think most are new dates though.

Really? You wish that every Tool song sounded the same? I would find a band putting out the same thing album after album would be quite boring. If I wanted to listen to Opiate or Undertow...I'd listen to Opiate or Undertow. I'm glad they change it up from album to album, and even 10,000 Days was a breath of fresh air that was well needed. I guess people were expecting more of the same, but you can definitely hear the APC influence that came over into the Tool camp and it just sounds like Tool's attempt at making a straight up rock album, but with the sensebilities and aesthtic that make it undeniably Tool.

TOOL is definately one of the best if not best bands live right now and for quite some time. I've seen them twice and both times were amazing, I was gonna see them a few years back in Dayton but that show got cancelled due it being on 9/11 or 9/12.

:lolol  That's hilarious. If you want a band who's songs REALLY sound all the same listen to Everclear...or virtually any band on the radio right now.

Tool's live show is musically great...but nothing has beat Velvet Revolver for a good old fashioned SHOW, which is what I paid the money to see the concert for. If I wanted to just hear the music I'd listen to the CD. All that said, It is impressive to hear a band like Tool with complex arrangements and ESPECIALLY a drummer like Danny Carey pull off that stuff live. Two different sides of the coin.

Yeah, but can Maynard do that "damn, I'm old" ear-raping yodel that Geddy Lee does these days when he tries to hit the high notes?

    (I kid, I kid! I love Rush.)
