i mean you watch mission accomplished and you see megs got his head in the game, i mean he got an entire strategy planned out and isn't trying to go over the top, he sets a goal and WORKS FOR IT IN STEPS AND STRATEGY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by far the top megs ever when it comes to success

    4.Kill Optimus Prime..Check
    5.Go back to Cybertron...Check

Animated Megs gets points for just killing Starscream when he first betrayed him rather than giving him pass after pass.

Sure SS "got better", but Megs then killed him and had Lugnut double-check that he was dead.

Although he finally loses those points for not, once it became clear SS just wouldn't stay dead, not decapitating him and giving him a taste of what he had to live through.

Like he said before, BW Megs killed Prime and Primal, he's just that good.

Animated Megatron certainly takes a lot after his diminutave predecessor (sp? lol) though as far as Success rate goes he's not quite the greatest...

Yeah, and what's even cooler is what you don't see. Was it just me, or did you imagine all of the decepticons scattered across the galaxy stopping what they were doing (one maybe seconds from killing a poor autobot) and all listening in unison? What you didn't see in that scene was awesome. Also when Megatron mentions that the decepticons need to stop destroying the space bridges, I imagined a rag tag group of decepticons planning sabatoge missions and executing them.

I wonder if this show will ever take us to an epic war, like the original TF did.

Animated Megatron is a damn good Megatron.
He can stratagise, and hes incredibly powerful.
    Think of it this way.

Starscream effortlessly beat Ultra Magnus, Bulkhead, Ratchet, Bumblebee, and Jazz (almost got Sentinel too). Megatron killed Starscream without even taking a scratch.

Im glad to see Megatron go back to strategy rather than show up, talk, laugh for a bit, get beaten then run off, (in the vein of RiD-Cybertron).

You're right, that scene was one of the more impressive scenes in the series. It just felt epic, even moreso when you don't know just how many Decepticons are left out there to listen to his rallying cry. I just really like where this series is going in terms of writing and plot.

If you mean G1, I would hardly call it "epic". "Classic", maybe, but not "epic". Fight/battle scenes consisted solely at everyone missing one another, Prime hitting Megatron once, maybe twice if Megs was ballsy that day, and then a sound retreat. Unless it was a season-closer, there wasn't much to it.

Animated on the other hand, has already set that up, and delivered. We just need to see the numbers as opposed to hearing about them.

    Fumble!

By epic, I meant the Movie. I'd call characters dying left and right, and Cybertron almost being oblitterated pretty epic. I just mean that if Megs is trying to take over cybertron, will we eventually reach a point where we see hundreds of transformers fighting in a huge battle, or will they keep it all on earth.

BW Megs did get his head knocked off (and even switched with Inferno's) and had his teeth knocked out when his head hit a wall. That has happened to Animated Megs yet, nor do I see it happening. Nothin' but love for the grape Dino though.

Always will be to me. But this Megs definitely knows Screamer better than his predecessor.

There are only so many times you can be lenient to somebody who'll stab you in the back.
