From Wolverine to Hannibal Lecter and the Last Samurai, they sure have some weird choices from who'll play the good and old Professor.

I don't know what to think. I LOVE the Universal Monsters. And the films of the last decades that Universal has put out utilizing their classic monsters have been... mixed.
The Mummy was good. The second film was bad. The third was better, but maybe still only for genre fans. And then there's the Scorpion King. Better left forgotten.
Van Helsing was good, in its campy way. But I wish it had been played straight.
The Wolfman I enjoyed. But I understand a lot of the criticism leveled its way.

Also, sadness at the reminder of Guillermo Del Toro's At the Mountains of Madness. It would be an astounding movie. Shame the current audiences want sparkly vampires, not Dracula. They couldn't handle Lovecraftian horror.
