its a KO, a vintage minibot card would have the punch out for the shelf peg holder off centered

That's what I was thinking when I saw the photos too...just couldn't remember. Plus, weren't the minibots packaged in vehicle mode originally as well?

Not my knowledge. They were in bot mode. It was only the keychain set and the Encore sets that had them in alt modes.

I believe only the first 1984 Pre-rub versions were in alt mode.

We need that DaLast2Walk guy to settle this. He's gotta be the expert. He probably has like 10 of these.

I doubt he has owned any KOs, which this is 100% a KO.

As far as the packaging, 1984 pre-rub was in vehicle mode, after 1985 they started packaging in robot mode. Bumblebee (G1)/toys - Transformers Wiki

His Autobot symbol also looks funny/suspect to me. Too big.

Or were they once that large?

They were never that large, and by the time they were packaged in robot mode like this one, it would have been a rub symbol.

He has posted pics of his AFA MOSC pre-rub Bees here in the forum, they are in altmode.

The one in the auction is definitely a KO, but I'm wondering why there are a lot of bids already, currently at $47.

I can't believe the current bid is $115! Someone told me this KO is worth less than $15. :(

Yeah, I almost feel like making a fake account, outbidding that buyer at the last minute, sending a message to him explaining why I've done it, and then just fucking off for the sake of resolving my good deed unscaved.
