From a weather balloon that was trapped in a thermal pocket and refracted the light from Venus.

Seriously, though, that's really pretty cool. I'm not a big astronomy person, but I'm impressed with anyone who figures out how to see something in freakin' space.

That's awesome--and the precision that must be required to do this (to know when and where to point the camera) is very impressive.

I'd bet he could spy on girls changing their clothes in the next city.

    Just think of the opportunity.

and, uh yeah, space is cool too.

I saw the space station once a few years back, it looks like a bright shooting star, it moves very quickly.

I hope they don't have windows in the lavatory section of the space station...

"Man, I hope nobody down there can see me."

"HOLY CRAP MAN! Look at what is coming out of the station!"

I've seen the station and shuttle a few times with the naked eye. Can't move my telescope fast enough to keep up with the station, it MOVES. Very steady bright light, brighter than the planets the times I saw it.

Fascinating. The light polution were I live is horrendous and it's the only thing that stops me pursuing an interest in astronomy (well, that and not being able to afford a decent 'scope)

I love astronomy and studied a little in college. That impresses me that he could find that and capture it on film. Very cool.

Hmm, maybe he could set up his scope on the mountain closest to Area 51 at night and get video of what REALLY happens there.
