Of course children fight, and how is that relevant to this?

I know it's an unpopular view on here, but I'm planning on waiting until I actually see DOTM before passing judgement on the writing.
I often feel like I'm the only person who plans on doing this.

Ehren Kruger is a great writer I like him, he did The Brothers Grimm(I love that movie)
hopefully DOTM will be badass with top storyline and of cause Micheal bay got the action part cover

Whatever. As long as it has giant muthaf*cking bots whooping asses then I'm down. I just don't want the plot to be too cheesy or repetitive like....the bots need to find the "secret key" before the cons or else they will take over the universe sort of thing... been there, done that. Let's move on :)

    Actually, I disagree.

He can only be better than the last 2... and yes- a good director can make a good movie out of a lousy script. He did it from the last 2 movies, didn't he?

I actually have more optimism for this next film.

I also enjoyed The Brothers Grimm but I think I've got to give the credit to Terry Gilliam because I've enjoyed his films even if they weren't a box office smash. The actors being able to sell the story was also a really big plus.

With a crappy script, I'd be willing to be that you wouldn't have enjoyed it anywhere near as much. I don't think the contribution a writer makes to a movie can in any way be glossed over so easily.

I don't know how true it is but on imdb.com in the trivia section for The Brothers Grimm they say

So perhaps a really talented director can find a way to make up for a script that has problems. I know an actor can really save a line because look at all the cool stuff Bruce Campbell has said in campy B movies.
