I see the sick of g1 third party comments left and right and more for the movie (and beast wars). So, poll...what's your actual feelings.

I don't really see 3rd party figures that are not G1 inspired selling too well.

Poll is up. I agree though. The turnaround on movie toys after the movie their based on has long moved on is crazy.

I voted G1 but toss others a bone once in a while. I wouldn't mind swing cool Beast Wars/Beast Machines figures.

I prefer they keep it to Classics/G1 unless the other stuff goes into add-ons instead of full figures. If I'm going to pay huge amounts for a figure, it may as well be from the line that lasts the longest and has the most support.

Unless someone does Animated Omega Supreme, Slipstream, or the Constructicons, I can't see anything selling well other than Classics/G1 or spinoffs (like HoS)

American market only and g2, to me, can be slapped on with g1 (there have been a few g2 figures already).

I would vote "Make what they want to make."

However, I would love to see some folks branch out a lot more. As mentioned, Animated has plenty of characters that fans would love to have. The interest is there, just look at how fast the Botcon set sold out. Entirely new molds would make a good few of us drool all over our keyboards. The three contructicons? Rodimus's Crew? Bigger Lugnut? Omega Supreme (with lugnut supreme repaint potential) The unreleased Megatron? There is so much to choose from.

So make what they want to make, but I would love some branching out. Though I only imagine Beast Wars, G1, and Animated seriously selling though.

You do realize, that if they make 3rd party toys that aren't G1, you don't have to buy them, right?

Anyways, I'm kind of split on this. On the one hand, there are so many characters from the Japanese portion of G1 that BADLY need Classic updates, like Overlord for example.

On the other hand, I would really love to see a 3rd party company make a more screen accurate Rhinox and an Animated Omega Supreme or redo the entire Beast Machines line, so it can be more screen accurate.

So, I don't know. I'd be happy with whatever a 3rd party would like to do.

I would be very, very interested to see if third-party companies can tackle the TFA aesthetic and make it work.
