Okay so here's something that I really want one of these third party's to jump on. And it'd be SO easy.

If you're like me, you probably bought a bunch of really awesome toys from the RID line ten years ago. Subsequently, all of the tires probably crumbled to tiny bits and fell off of those awesome toys.

I want one of these third parties to PLEASE make replacement (resin) tires that snap on over the wheels of the RID toys. (For the car brothers plus Prime and Ultra Magnus.)

Make it happen, and I will gladly buy them.

RESIN? they would break when they went over the wheels.

I agree repro tires would be awesome, but not resin.

I have long thought 3rd party guys should make sets of wheels to replace what is one TFs.

I know there are a jillion different sizes all with clearances and tolerances, but surely someone could make a few sets that would work to replace certain figures..

example..nice set of wheels with rubber tires for Battle Blades BB.

but then..the average, non customizer would have a hard time putting them on...

Silicon rubber would be nice, but probably too expensive. Soft vinyl, like model cars use would work pretty well, and be more stable than the cheap rubber Hasbro uses. There are people out there who make and sell slot car tires out of some kind of urethane. You'd think that would be some kind of option for third party tires.

I don't have any RID toys, but I find it strange how the tires on my Hasbro G1 reissues started to crack, but the tires on my Takara-Tomy G1 Prime are just fine, as are the vintage G1 tires I've got.

If, you're worried about your rubber tires drying and cracking, soak them clean unused motor oil, for a day or so. I did that a few years back, after some of my Hasbro tires started to crack, and they've been fine ever since.

You can cen flexible resin you know.

But a better rubber replacement may be a better solution

I'd definitely be in for replacement tires for the RID bots. I also agree that resin would be a terrible choice though...

The way I pictured it, each resin tire would be two separate pieces, like two half circles that snapped together over the wheel. Therefore you wouldn't have to stretch them over the wheel. It's hard to describe the way I pictured it.

Just wrap condoms over those bare RID hubcaps. No one will notice.
