Since Hasbro takes forever to release their MP stuff now a days, and since their QC on said MP are pretty bad now, I would love for some 3rd Party companies to step up.

I would just love it if I could have a full set of MP figures from G1 Season 1 for the decepticons. So far I have a KO Oversized Soundwave which was repainted. But it would be nice if he had more articulation and made of better plastic.

On top of that, I would love to have a MP Shockwave. The PE Reflector should fit in nice as Reflector was pretty small in scale to begin with.

Now, I know everyone got on IGear for the coneheads, but at least they are making something. We need more companies to do this though.

    What do you guys think?

With 3rd party deluxes at 90.00, maybe its not a good idea.

I like this idea. I'd be all over a decently designed & engineered MP Shockwave. However the potential price point is terrifying.

Well if people are paying $200 for Rodimus and he comes broken. Why not?

I think $150 is really my sticking pointing on the MP. After $150, it better damn well be awesome with no QC issues.

I'm not up for the idea. We pay $90 for a DLX size figure...can you imagine what a Masterpiece would cost? I have 5 MP figures and only Rodimus has SLIGHT QC issues, which I think will be fixed with the Hasbro release. I'm not going to jump on the 3rd party MP line just yet. Things change though, so we'll see.

Wait weren't you the one who just had a thread complaining about the cost of knock off. Now you want even HIGHER quality knockoffs? A MP level 3rd party toy would BLOW your $150 budget issue and would be just as likely to have QC concerns.

For that matter where do you get off saying hasbro takes too long to release MP's in the first place: We got Grimlock this year, Skywarp last year, and will get Hotrod next year. Once a year is more then enough for a $70 plus toy. Also the Hasbro versions of Masterpiece Optimus Prime, Starscream, Grimlock, and Skywarp had no major QC molds at all.

Once a year for G1, but Movie Verse has what 3 or 4 already, and all different molds.

And it is you who thinks of 3rd Part Companies as KO companies.

My problem with a $300 Fort Max had to do with the fact the company has little to do to get that figure. Just create a mold a reproduce it.

A Third Party Company would come up with a mold from scratch which would take plenty of time in R&D anf QC. The KO does not require this.

As for the $150, the Igear seekers are MP size and are $120 a pop. So between $150 - $200 is not unreasonable.

Also, whats up with the angery tone?

Seriously, not everyone received a damaged MP Rodimus. No way would I want Igear to make more MP Transformers! Have you even Transformed Faith leader?

Trust me, if you think Rodimus is bad (and he isn't, mine is FINE), you'll think he is the best thing since internet porn compared to that release:lol

Besides, Igear can only steal designs! Those conehead figures are from a Radicons member

Well my faith leader is on the way. So I will see soon enough.

As for third party companies, I didn't mean just Igear. Hell, it could be a completely non existent company.

I cannot be the only one who wants more MP sized figures here. At the 1 per year pace, I'll be 50 before they get to Shockwave.

You realize that's 120 without any actual work going into R&D, engineering, or any of that, right?

I'd rather 3rd parties not make MP style add-on. Because those level of engineering would require quite a heavy price. Also the MP line is not as well collected as say, the classics line, which almost everyone collects.

I really wish people would stop focusing on the issues with MP Rodimus. Plenty of people got him with hardly any qc issues like myself and many others on this forum. As for third party MPs as said before the igear seekers and faith leader are straight kos. Consider that when you look at the price point. NOt only that but faith leader is smaller and does not have the diecast. Original MP figures from a third party company would be horrifyingly expensive.

Why would we stop complaining about the QC issues. Did you not see this thread. I mean at the time of this post, there are 49 people who purchased 1, and 24 of them had issues.

I mean that is a 50% rate of problems. How is that not an issue? Just cause you have a good one, doesn't mean everyone does.

Alucard, to be fair, your statement of claim is incorrect. The best you can say is, OF THE PEOPLE WHO TOOK YOUR POLL, 24 of them had issues, close to 50%.

    Realize that

    1. A lot more members purchased Rodimus than 50.

    2. Not everyone that owns an MP in tfw2005 will poll. In fact, those that are NOT satisfied have more of a motivation to take your poll to "make a point", while many who have their Roddy without issues, "cannot be bothered with all these QC threads".

    3. Polls, and in general, statistics, are generally very limited depending on how the data is taken. A voluntary poll have so many statistical flaws that the result cannot be considered really significant.

All you can say, with that poll, currently as of the typing of this post, is that of the 50 people that voluntarily polled in the thread, 24 of them have QC issues. That's all you can say.

No offense, but that is picking at straws. That is what is implied. I am tired of having to speak in lawyer talk on this board.

50% of the people polled had issues. Take that as you want. If your theory was right, then no one with a good figure would respond. Also if you read the thread, its not meant to be a bitching thread.

BTW, I was a sociology and psychology major. I know about research and polling and so forth. The point is, people act like there are no problems and regardless who polls, it is clear that their are problems with the figure

Way too much fanboyism here and I for one am getting pretty tired of disproving something by using lawyer talk. Their are problems with the figure.
