I say Flareup. Why? Elita-1 was only mentioned in passing in a Q'n'A, whereas Flareup was announced at a convention. Though if Elita turns out to be the real name, I won't be too pissed off. Though I know it can't be Moonracer, unless Hasbro got the trademark for that name back without us knowing.

 

It was stated that that idea was dropped a good while ago.

 

Elita-1, but that just barely edges out Moonracer for me.

and this third bike is Arcee (because TF2007 Arcee was Purple)

well, the question is what name is the best, not asking which one is the real name
so I vote Moonracer, it sounds great for a bike (but Thunderblast too!, lol)
Elita-one sounds more for something like a big car
Flare up sounds more for something like another sort of bike  

 

i prefer Moonracer, though i believe it was confirmed to be Flareup, though i dont remember where, it was something official, i think. which is fine with me-when i turn on a stove, the flames seem purple-blue to me.

I personally think that "Moonracer" is the best name for her, simply because of the purple colour. It seems much more fitting for her colour and design that she'd be called "Moonracer".

If she had red and orange streaks on her, or maybe even flame decals, "Flareup" would be a much more appropiate name.

"Elita-1" would be the perfect name for the combined mode, IMO.

Roberto and Kurtzman wrote the Bike Sisters as one, hivemind character, Arcee.
Michael Bay, however, filmed and intended the Bike Sisters to be three SEPERATE beings, each a different character. Hasbro originally came up with the seperate Bike Sisters.

So really, you can interpet it however you want. I prefer to think of the Bike Sisters as three seperate characters, personally.

 

I love how people try to read more into a comment than there really is.

Roberto Orci stated that they were WRITTEN (which means INTENDED) as one character, Arcee. He then went on to say that Michael "kept them as individuals." You put way more words into Orci's mouth. "Kept them as individuals," with or without context, merely means that they were kept separate, meaning that they didn't combine into their singular entity.

And that's even putting aside all of the canon IN the movie which completely indicates that the three of them are just Arcee. You have to fanwank really, really hard to even try to twist what's in the movie to support a Arcee-Chromia-Purplebike theory.

Actually, it WAS stated that Michael Bay intended to film them as three seperate characters, the same way Hasbro made three different character toys.

I'll try and find the interview, but it was specifically stated that MB wanted them to be three seperate characters.

 

I like Moonracer and Flareup. Elita-1 was killed off in Reign of Starscream #5. Plus, there was no indication of any relationship with Prime... though, not that Bay would allow anything like that in one of his films.

 

How is Elita-1 confirmed? Her character in this universe was killed off in Reign of Starscream as others have said.

 

Well, i think if the bike sister is elita-1 i think this is a diffrent character and not the same character, same happened with mudflap who has a movie 1 version (which is a decepticon) and they not the same character so think if this bike is elita-1 i think is a diffrent character and the not eltia from reing of stasrcream

 

The comics aren't necessarily canon, they could easily just say "lol didn't happen".

 

Unfortunately, I don't think a lot of people care about what happened in the comics.

 

Ok, let me explain something. We, on earth, call our planet's satellite "The Moon". These are robots from another planet, where they are created and named. How the F*** would they know what a MOON is and how to RACE across it?

 

moonracer or flareup, I don't care. but definitely not elita-1 because of her death in reign of starscream (unless the female who died in reign of starscream was a different character)
