Customs: Thinning enamels? - update: OH NO :( help?

    I use testors model masters. and sometimes, the testors in the mini-bottles.

    I haven't had trouble with dry time. Some artists like quicker dry times, but enamels aren't "forever" like some people believe. Enamels are dry to the touch in about 10 minutes, where-as acrylics are in about 5 or less.

    is there a difference betweeen quality or chemical makeup between model masters or testors in mini bottles?

    are MM's better?

    i honestly don't know. model masters works great for me, but the smaller bottles seem to cover better with less coats, and they are more easily found at michael's, walmart even...

    sorry for COAT 4.. what type of ratio do u use?

    paint dabbed into thinner, then mixed around. no actual fixed ration, usually eyeball it so it's slightly thinned down.

    oh one more thing...
    I always shake the hell out of the paint bottle, then use the cap as my reservoir to get paint from - it's the best.
