But I’m not sure if this whole CD-Rom thing is going to last. I mean sure they can hold more information then a cartridge but I hear that you have to wait for just about every thing to load. What’s up with that? But I think I can live with it once it can do so much more then just play games. I really see it being the next big thing, an all in one set top entertainment center. And VCD are really cool, you don’t have to rewind them.

$700 is a little steep but I think it will be worth it in the end Crash N’ Burn is looking sweet and Shadow: War of Succession looks like it’s going to be a Street Fighter II killer.

I just don’t know if I should get the one that’s out now or wait and see what the Goldstar, Sanyo, Samsung, AT&T, Creative Labs and Panasonic ones are like.

I do have to say I like the Jaguar control pads. There can never be to many buttons.

Actually, I heard a rumor that Sony was going to be getting into the console gaming business. I don't know how true that is but I really like my Walkman, so maybe Sony's version of Donkey Kong will be good?

i played a virtual boy at k-mart the other day. it had this game that felt kind of like starfox but it was all just wireframe models so it was hard to judge distances from things. i really hope they don't ditch the game boy for this thing, it's not as good as i expected.

    Pfft.

I'll stick with my Tiger Electronics Handheld Video Game series thank you very much. Game Boy is so yesterday.

The commercial for this crazy FMV game was on the other day, it looks radical.

"Hey man, don't you hate it...when you go to see the BIG GOLD BUDDHA...and you pick the leaf with the VIRUS on it...sheah...!!"

Gawd, I'm so hyped for that ish...it's gonna be awesome to the max.

There is no way in the world Virtual Boy could fail. It is the future of gaming.

That is so true, especially when the buttons are SQUARE in shape.

I've been thinking of making an "I'm thinking of getting an X-Box 360" thread.

You really should. You will get nothing but support and praise and given the info that all money Microsoft makes off of the 360 is given to charities to help sick children.

However shoudl you consider getting a PS3 you will be subjected to ridicule and posts similar to "Z0MG S0ny is teh SUXX0r5 I hope tey go 0ut 0f busin55"

I'm not convinced, my CD-I is awesome plus there is going to be a Mario game for it soon. Does the 3DO have any FMV games that the CD-I doesen't?

I think I am just going to get a 32X for my Genesis. That should make it last for another 10 years.

Atari are on to a winner with the Lynx II - much more stylish than the original Lynx, and with some great games for it, like Rampart, Warbirds, Steel Talons, and...

...others I can't quite think of the names of right at this moment.

See how cool it looks? So thin and light, too.

Although some guy from the future who says he's a grown-up version of me warns me that the d-pad may end up jamming - and that eventually I'll only be able to use the Lynx properly if I unscrew the connections between the front and rear halves of the casing, and have the rear case hang loose, so as not to place pressure on the d-pad (which apparently will keep going to the up position otherwise).

I would think he's crazy for doubting Atari's vaunted engineering skills, but that would be after trying to figure out what on Earth a future me could be doing with his time instead of trying to talk to me about electronic products.

But as far as desktop machines go, I hear the CD32 might be a winner - it's based on the Amiga 1200! With a built-in CD drive and everything!

I'd probably sooner have the 1200 and a CD drive for it, though.

Then I can use Deluxe Paint when I'm bored playing games like Space Crusade and Populous.

But I'll still have room at the inn for my 64C - not least since I wouldn't know where to offload all of those damned tapes even if I wanted to get rid of it.

Agreed. I'm all in favor of a Jaguar, but I'm thinking if Nintendo finally gets the storage capacity of a CD Rom, that will solidify them keep the Final Fantasy franchise.

Hm, you make valid points. Is Nintendo still just kiddie games?

I'm not sure I understand. Try speaking with less anger.
