I didn't start to get into Transformer toys until the Premium series of Movie 1 came out, and I missed out on a specific figure. So, I ask you this...

Do you think we'll ever see Leader Class Brawl again? He's supposed to be a great toy, and I'd much rather have a Leader Brawl than a deluxe class one.

So, do you think there's any possibility we'll see Leader Brawl again?

If he had only gotten a single release, I'd say yes, but he already got a desert version made, so the chances are not likely. Past leader toys are not often repainted for new lines.

I agree. But it wouldn't surprise me to see the mold in a "Shadow" deco or something, if they do choose to rerelease it. If a Brawl clone shows up in TF3 I'd say the chances go from almost nil to slim.

I just started collecting for a week and a bit, and I wish there would be a re-release too, but it's just not likely. It'll probably be fairer to release Blackout or Bonecrusher in Leader mode than another Brawl. I'm already searching eBay now.. he's that awesome in the reviews!!

I had one once. I don't remember what I did with it.

i put off buying it until last year, and MAN! what was I thinking? i shoulda had him on Pre-order back in 07 and been happy from day 1.

great mold, great poses and just incredible.

all that been said, I don't see a re-release unless it's at BotCon or SDCC as a redeco.

I don't see it in the near future, but who really knows. I would say that it was very underappreciated at the time it was released. This thread is almost making me wish I had also picked up the DD version when it was on clearance for about $15. It would be tough to pass on if they did come back with a deeper green camo one.

I seriously doubt it. As GogDog has said, we've already gotten one repaint of it, so I imagine by this point, Hasbro has re-cooped their costs and made profit on it. Most likely, he's not in TF3 either.

Anything's possible. We might see him again at some point, though from an economic standpoint the deluxe is more likely.

A pity really, the Leader is excellent and very deserving of a lot of love. I'd go as far as to suggest he could be released in urban camo with a Megatron head as "Movie concept Earth Mode Megatron" or something like that. Just to get the mold out there again.

I suppose you guys are probably right, probably won't see release again. I'm gonna hope for the best though and hope that he'll appear in maybe the Hunt for the Decepticons line, maybe in the TF3 toyline.

probably not. Leader class toys cost more money to make and Hasbro probably thinks he won't sell very well because of two reasons

    A.) His high price tag

B.) He's a repaint, so most people that would buy him already have him

Yes both Leader class Brawl version go for stupid amounts of money online (I know your pain dood, I want him too), but keep in mind, the people willing to pay those prices for those older Brawl figures represent a VERY SMALL amount of the consumer group

I've never been a fan of this mold. It has it's strong points, but as an overal figure I probably could have passed on him.

As far as a re-release, I doubt it.

Yeah, a re-release is unlikely, but I'd say that it's really worth it to try and track down a used (complete) one.

Initially I wasn't going to get him. Then all my willpower disappeared as soon as I found him at my local TRU (this was August '07; I haven't seen him in almost two-and-a half years). I'm glad I broke down and got him. He's a great figure. Sadly, I have to agree with the general consensus in this thread: there's very little chance we'll ever see the mold again, at least not anytime soon.
