Things that you missed about Transformers

Here's a thread about the things that you wish Hasbro had chosen to keep when it came to Transformers.

To start, I wish that the Scout and Ultra class size classes were back to solve a lot of problems set by the DOTM line.

So, anything else you guys miss?

I don't even miss the toys that much........but for some reason, i REALLY miss early G1 style packaging.

I do miss scouts somewhat as well.

I really miss the Headmasters. Seeing some of the awesome customs and 3rd party add-ons makes me think of how great they'd look as official mass releases. I could say the same for Targetmasters as well.

I also wish Hasbro would put forth a greater effort with combiners. I really miss those as well.

the little booklets that came with that told you what all was coming, and when they were displayed in the outdoor settings (black rocks for decepticons, and orange dirt for autobots.

I miss having a huge amount of figures come out in a short period of time and then all of them being available all year. These days if you don't grab them when you see them you may never see them again. And nobody shout 'shop online!' at me.
About the toys specifically, I miss stickers. And I mean not having to buy them from a separate source but supplied with the figure.
I also miss decent combiners and citybots.

Totally agree with Ultra's,those were almost as big as some Leader size figs (cough, cough DOTM Leader Bee) while still being about $10 or $15 cheaper.Scouts on the other hand were alright when they were $7 but then ROTF came out and the prices jumped to $9 at Walmart, after that they lost any appeal at that price,as $7 was fine but for $9 that was almost a deluxe price.

One more thing I miss is the non-loose joints, over the past couple of years TF's have literally the loosest joints ever and pop off at the slightest touch. That is all.

I miss the days of G1 being the current product, when you could walk into the store and find what you wanted, en masse! No scalpers to deal with, no driving to mulitple stores and bugging the stock clerks to check the back for more, no overall wasting time and going home empty handed.

For those kids who weren't around for the glorious mid 80s and TFs being at their peak and only knowing the shoddy distro of today, you missed out.

I miss movieverse Scouts already. I miss the catalogues and checklists of G1. I miss the uber detailed bios of G1 (with range, speed, imagineary weapons, etc.). I miss....twisty-ties (now I absolutely need a cutting device; as hard as it was before, I could still release them by hand  )

I don't miss "futuristic" alt-modes. I don't miss fists, heads, weapons, etc. that are separate pieces and have nowhere to go in alt-mode. I don't miss the graph-style tech-specs. I don't miss having to apply stickers. I don't miss fleshy beast modes.

I miss being a kid and being able to enjoy Transformers in a pure, immersive, and unconditional fashion, without there being people out there writing Arcee/Daniel slash fictions and drawing pictures of Sari in a thong, or threatening to kill people because so-and-so's knee joints are a fraction too high and their paint is one shade too dark, or discovering that some obese pedophile ran around the tri-county area at 7am buying all the Starscreams and now I have to pay him $80 if I want just one, or stumbling into a symposium discussion in which each cartoon episode is decoded frame-by-frame for secret messages, or that my method of enjoying Transformers is inferior to that of some angry, combative guy and it shows that I'm ignorant and a fag that likes things wrong.

    OMG THIS! :D

I still have a couple. It's what I always looked forward to when I opened up an A/E/C toy. When I was little I'd circle each figure that I really wanted in the booklet and gave it to my parents as my christmas wish list.

Combiners that aren't repaints of old molds and/or don't suck like Supreme Devastator
    Bumblebee being able to talk

EDIT: I thought this was in the general section, so ignore the last one

Spark crystals, I mean the BW/BM style. Not the useless Energon version.
Wave cards, those were always great. Now outside of this place, I have no clue on what's coming up.
Plastic ties, this new cheap stuff is only good for throwing into a fire.

I forgot all about that. I love applying decals! I find it strangely relaxing. I always save the faction symbols for last, like the character has just earned this huge power up by having the faction symbol(s) finally placed upon them.

    I need help...

    - Proper combiners
    - Base/City Bots
    - Proper distribution

This. TCCs are a poor shadow to real Combiners.
Huge Robots? YYesss! Give me some new Max Bots! Make it new molds as well.

I also miss the BinalTech, it never got a blue Frenzy to match the released red Rumble. I also wanted a BT Trailbreaker. The line needed a BT Megatron as well.
