I absoloutly love my MP Rodimus, he's the TF I've waited for since 1986! Just wondering wahat you guys really love about him!

    for me its:

    - he's the most accurate figure to a G1 model thats been released to date.

    - his face is not as TF as most have been recently. I love thats its not silver/grey and has a more anime look. It not only helps push the figure away from toy to high end collectible, bu also captures the move from diaclone to 86 designs. Hot Rod looks more modern than the new guys.

    - the matt plastic used is gorgeous.

    -HE'S MAGENTA!!!! finally!

It really is a beautiful piece.

I try to not fiddle with it too much, just have him standing in Rodimus Prime mode standing on his trailer.

One of the better looking MPs in my opinion.

Is that cos you think he's fragile? after much playing about with mine the overly tight legs are far smoother to work with. In fact I really enjoy transforming him now. Never would have thought I'd say that when I was doing it for the the first time.

    It really is beautiful.

    - Every mode is aesthetically excellent. I know his bot mode has a little backpack but that hardly hurts it.

    - A TON of features. Rodimus Bot, Hot Rod Bot, Car, Space RV, Trailer base mode, Visor, buzzsaw, torch, Rodimus gun, Hot Rod guns, the Matrix.

    - Great articulation.

    - Yes, the colors are spot on.

I don't usually "play" with any of my TFs

I am concerned about the fragility, but it is more that I prefer my bots unmolested and in bot mode.

I did go through and fix the ankle and mess with all the joints so they are loose.

I don't tend to 'play' with them either, but I can't leave this guy alone!

After spending a mere half hour fixing all the problems with the toy, I love almost everything about him. He's an engineering marvel. Far more animation accurate than any MP prior, and far more poseable. He's gorgeous in every mode. Love the thought and care put into giving him each and every one of his features and gimmicks as shown in the animation.

Shame the tolerance issues weren't caught before he shipped out. Just the tiniest tweaks here and there, and everybody would have fallen in love with him, rather than this string of negativity that he's received so far.

I'm surprised how much I like Rodimus Prime's vehicle mode. It's such a silly, crazy, 80's thing. And I love Hot Rod's car mode, with its super sleek wedge-shaped profile just as I remember it from watching the movie upteen-trillion times as a child, that none of his prior toys have been able to capture properly. Yet, I just keep gravitating towards that trailer and stuffing him in it. I don't know why.

I love his weapons. I knew they transformed and combined into the rifle, but until the release, I wasn't aware that it was such a slick bit of "Automorph" magic going on. It's just this oddly satisfying feeling, slamming those two hand guns together and watching them morph into this massive rifle.

The most important thing about the toy, though, is that being raised on the movie as opposed to the series proper, this toy really represents the summation of my nostalgia. Yes, it's a shame the toy wasn't perfect right out of the box. But with the fixes required being so incredibly minor, just that extra little bit of work I needed to do really makes the toy feel extra special to me, because it's now mine. It was my work that turned this diamond in the rough into an absolute dazzler, and that it's all for the character I have the most nostalgic feelings for, well, I'm absolutely in love.

He's almost like oversized Revoltech figure.

Just forget abt transforming it if you don't have to & you'll be fine. he's alrdy good as it is, as a poseable & anime accurate action figure.

Lotsa cool poses can be done with this young lad here! Lol :lol

After performing my fixes, I can't stop transforming him. I love all his modes too damned much to leave him alone in any one of them.

Exactly! I was so worried that he'd be another MP thats just a display piece. I even was at the point where that would have been ok, but WOW! He's just so much fun to play about with!

Ha ha same here bro. Strangely I like to do the Winnebago mode the most, even tho knowing full well it would scratch the yellow spoiler.

Be damn scratched yellow spoiler, I couldn't care less abt it man! :p
