Consider this thread as a stress release thread. Just to let out your anger on shit you read or hear on the net.

    My Qualms:
    - I hate seeing a good serious discussion get derailed by some a-hole who thinks he's going to get a laugh.
    - Unfunny Trolls. Theyre just not funny.
    - People who cannot produce an actually solid argument for disliking something.
    - Trolls who are just so stupid sounding , you know " DC/ Marvel Fanboy? Lol you faggot ", those kind of people.

Ads of any type that interrupt Youtube videos is really starting to annoy me, with their new ad crap, some have the convenient Skip Ad feature, but then there are those that you have to sit through because they don't allow it.

And on top of that, some of them pop up RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF WHEN THE PERSON IN THE VIDEO IS TALKING! Goddamn Youtube programming jackarses, I want to watch a Let's Play or a Toy Review without having to sift through tons of ads, especially when I'm in the middle of a playlist and you've got ads cropping up at the beginning and end of every video.

I understand how certain companies need to make money to keep their services free and shit, but if you're going to have ads, at least have the common courtesy to have all the damn things include the skip add feature, and if it is a playlist, don't bog down every damn video on the playlist with multiple ads, it takes up more time than it needs to.

Ads on YouTube? I've never seen Ads on YouTube...

I hate when people want to discuss everything super seriously. Seriously, people are mostly on boards to have fun and not discuss things super seriously. But I hate when a topic is at the second page already offtopic, because people talk about something completely different as the thread title says.

I hate people who put their violent stuff to the internet. We don't need to see how some idiots cut off the heads of other people.

I hate to see that there are still so many racists on this planet and that there are still people who feel the urge to have wars. But of course it is good that we CAN read about this. Otherwise we would not know how bad this world still is.

But mostly there is not much that I hate, because I'm mostly only there, where there is mostly stuff I like to see.

Right now I have some stupid pop-up thing for some girl's webcam or something and it pops-up all the time and then when I click out of it another site pops up and it takes like 6 clicks to get rid of it completely.

I seriously think it must be some sort of virus thing that has come from a porn site that I think my brother was looking at when he baby-sat my son and daughter for me while I went to hospital to get my finger fixed (I fractured it). Ugh! I asked my bro if he clicked on this live chat/webcam thingie and he swears he only looked at a few news sites and facebook but no porn - but I don't believe him!!! I am so distressed about it, because my son plays his Mickey Mouse Clubhouse game and I don't want it popping up while he's on the computer.

Any ideas how to get rid of it???? I have Norton 360 anti-virus software and I do the updates every night before I go to bed and that hasn't gotten rid of it. Ugh!!!!

Personal attacks over a person's preferred type of media; i.e things like "You like the Transformers movies? Oh, you're an idiot!", that kind of thing.

I'll assume you ran a system scan of your computer. Its always a good idea to do a "system scrub" I do know there are a few good virus removal programs for free online. You could always try those.

A "system scrub" is different from A system scan? I just did a scan with my anti-virus and it said no threats detected :(

I am not computer minded at all. I might just take the whole PC into the shop and have them 'scrub' it ;)  I have a laptop that I can use, but grrrrr!

My computer works fine, it doesn't seem slower or anything, I just get this random pop-up advertising some web-cam live chat thing. I have no idea where it came from, I sure as hell never clicked or visited any site that would be associated with something like that.

    My brother is an ass!

Ain't too fond of that either, most depressing to read about.

Me, I hate reading about WWII. Oh sure some of its the most inspiring stuff you'll read, ever. Some of it though......surely it was the NADIR of the human race but I've got to read it. Otherwise I might forget, and that is chilling.

Jetfire's idea is pretty on the money. If it were me, I'd just back up and wipe the drive a few times and do a fresh install of Windows. Heck if its been a year or so since your last, this might be the best time to do it anyway.

Not all adware is a virus, and an antivirus isn't going to find every piece of malware out there. Spybot Search & Destroy might find the problem for you. You can also try using Windows' built in system restore feature to roll back to before the problem happened.

Thanks guys. I'll wipe the entire drive and re-install windows. Or, i'll look for the built in system restore and try that. Or the spybot thing.

I think it's adware. I don't know/think it's malicious (just annoying). Like I said, nothing else seems affected. I just need to get rid of it before it pops up while my son is playing his game.

I am thinking it had to have come from a porn site? Or can they be attached to non-porn sites? (I don't visit porn sites, so if they are only attached to those sites then it was definitely my brother).

Why should someone have to produce an argument for not liking something? Everyone has different tastes and are more than entitled to their own opinion.

Im kinda sick of people saying I dont want to watch it cuz it -insert nitpick here- .(Example: Im not gonna watch Transformers Prime Cuz There's no Ironhide) They could at least give a good solid reason/argument why they wouldnt like it. Not some minor nitpick that they believe to be some kind of permanent dogma.

Its all in the phrasing. If someone says to me "I didn't like Aliens" then I might just go 'Oh, you' and thats the end of the conversation.

Conversely if someone says to me that 'Aliens' is a cinematic abortion with absolutely no redeeming features and is a blight on cinema etc, then that is less a stated opinion and more of a critical breakdown which invites a response, usually from me :p

I don't think most people get annoyed when someone simply says they don't like something. But you get a lot of:
"Not only do I not like this, but I'm also going to insult everyone who does."
"Because I don't like this, neither should anybody else, and I want to argue about it."
"I don't like this because (insert some unreasonable or off the wall complaint)"
"I don't like this because (insert blatant double standard )"
"I don't like this because (insert obvious factual inaccuracy)"
"I don't like this because (insert personal attack)"

If you don't like something, fine. If you can point to exactly what you don't like about it, fine. But don't make up bullshit "objective" justifications for something that's strictly personal taste.

Exactly. Like, every time I see people getting butthurt over nothing (especially on the internet when its clearly in the spirit of comedy & not at all something that effects them), I die a little more on the inside.

Oddly enough though, I still think anger over toys & cardgames is hilarious, so I hope that goes on for a very long time.
