well im sure alot of people on here know im not working and havnt been for a few months now. among other things things my life has been terrible as of late with some signs of it getting better for me and my parents....

until this happened this morning. no one was hurt
I wasnt driving my mother was. admittedly it couldve been alot worse especially if the air bags had went off (shes short so she sits right up on the steering wheel). bad thing is if the repairs are more than what the car is worth its considered totalled :( . and we dont have the money to buy a new car either

sorry to hear about your bad luck lately. Glad to hear nobody was hurt. I'm not a car expert but it looks like most of the damage is fairly cosmetic (just going by the pic you supplied). I would still have it checked out to make sure the frame isn't bent though. If the frame isn't bent, and there isn't any major structural problems (engine damage, suspension, brakes, etc) you could get salvaged parts to replace the damaged hood and other components. It may not look as good as the car once did, but it might be a viable solution until your luck changes. Good luck.

Sorry to hear. Actually though, if the repairs cost half as much or more than what the car is worth then it's considered salvage (at least that's what it is here in Cali) which sucks when trying to sell the car since it'll have a salvage title.

well the car is 10 years old so its not worth all that much anymore. if anything saves it its that the car is still under 100k miles. and weve had it since it was in the showroom too its very well taken care of. so if anything the overall condition of it will help

Sorry to hear that happened man. Glad your family is ok though. If you didn't live so far I'd offer to help with the repairs on the vehicle being I work on cars. As others have said though it looks like mostly cosmetic damage which could be fixed by you with a bit of research and learning on the internet.

Leave the hood the way it is, and tell people you've got a hemi.

You can get a reliable car for 2500 if that is what the insurance company is giving you.

Hell, I'd be tempted to say a very decent car for $2500!

Jeez. It's not a dog or something, it's just a car. It's not like you're going to hurt it's feelings.

Car accidents suck. Be happy you can get it repaired, though. Imagine how much worse it would be if someone was hurt or you had to buy a completely new car instead.

You've got my sympathy on the accident, but count your blessings as well.

    sorry to hear about this.
i hope the insurance helps- a lot.

my first car, i was glad to see it die.
but the other cars i had, i was attached to 'em. they are a reflection of who you are and a car that is neither whole and original, hurts.
and to total one out, well...devastating.
    you got my sympathies.

Part the car out, and use the money to get another used car.
