I read the novel as well. I expect to see lots of sight gags in respect to Jetfire, the Twins, and Wheelie, otherwise they really didn't come off as annoying as Frenzy, IMO.

I don't remember reading ANYTHING about Jolt in the novel, so I don't really know anything about him, or what he contributes. That will be cool to see.

You know, I think a TON will change in the final film. Some things that come to mind already are not only Jolt, but Mixmaster on the bridge, Megs fighting Starscream on a helipad, etc. Maybe some of the things that displeased us in the novel have been adjusted (or not), though I think visually the final battle will be clearer in terms of which character is where.

 

If there's one thing I hope for ..
It would be for Devastator to do lots of devastation and survive the movie.

In the book, he basically shows up, combine, eats some sand and pyramids, and then dies to a single railgun shot. A single shot.
I hope that's not the case in the movie. For such a giant monster, billed as the ultimate destructive machine, the idea of him not killing any Autobots seems blasphemous !!

 

I hope for more robot attack because I'm sure Devastator will do more! I think they lefted out a part where Prime fights Devastator.

 

I'd like to see the convo between Epps and his wife stays mostly the same, that was amusing.

as for changes, considering i could name half a dozen based off the trailers alone, one thing i'd like to see is a more drawn out fight in Eygpt.

I'm hoping the final Egypt battle won't end up being too short or unsatisfying. I do hope Prime's confrontation with the Fallen is a significant and meaningful one and not just a case of Optimus quickly disposing of him. I'd like there to be some good dialogue between them before Prime kills him, like maybe the Fallen trying to convince Prime to join him and promising to share power with him as a fellow Prime, but Optimus obviously declining before killing him.

And like others have said, i'd like to see enough of Arcee and Sideswipe!

 

Completely agree. Their fight in the comic book was a little more than one page. It was very underwhelming.
