I looked briefly to see if there was a discussion on this and found nothing.
What are your theories on ravage's origin, transformation, relation to other bots etc.
Where does he come from? His tail definitely reminds me of Skorponok... the severed part anyhow.
Is it possible the tail is Skorponok's in a new form?
What would ravage transform into besides a cyber puma?
Is he linked to anyone like blackout or barricade?
Or can we assume Soundwave is his counterpart?
I am sure some of these have been discussed before.

Hints that we've gotten about Ravage are that he doesn't have an actual transformation, that he has a new ability that he didn't have before, and the rumor that he would be a type of bioweapon.....all kinda seems to add up to theory that Ravage ends up being the pretender in the movie.

Heaven forbid that in a movie titled transformers that a robot might actually transform. :D

JuicyNo is right about Ravage not having a real transformation and that he has a new ability unlike anything we've seen before. Not quite sure about his being a bioweapon and therefore being the rumored Pretender, though...

I think Ravage is pretty much the same as Scorponok... just a beast-bot that is a minion to one of the Decepticons, most likely Soundwave.

The Soundwave toy actually comes with a missile molded to look like Ravage so it's probably safe to say they're connected kind of like Skorponok and Blackout.

I don't think Ravage's tail has anything to do with Skorpi either. My vote is also that Ravage is probably the pretender which I have some mixed feelings about, but I'll wait to judge until I've seen how it plays out...

Isn't it on the back of Soundwave's packaging that Ravage turns into a missile fired from Soundwave's satellite/space-cruiser alt mode? Or are we assuming that this is just something for the toy? What happened to Isabel Lucas's character, Alice, being the Pretender (isn't the dreadlocked bot her true form)?

I support the theory that Ravage = Alice. A few more reasons: Alice's robot form was described as having a cat-like face and a barbed tail with a needle on the end. This fits what we've seen of Ravage so far. And wouldn't it be cool for Alice, when her cover is blown, to ditch the human shell, hunch down and attack as Ravage? I think so...

I think Alice is the smaller robot with dreadlocks.

For all we know, it could be possible that the dreadlocked bot IS ravage...it doesn't exactly match the images we've seen of ravage, but it looked and moved cat-like enough that it just have been a stand in to be CGed over top of like Bay suggested.

    Possible? Yes. Likely? Very debatable.

The Alice Pretender has a cat-like face with a beak-ish mouth, by all accounts. She won't be Ravage.

I agree. Ravage is a pretty cool guy, he looks like a combo of Hello Kitty and Satan's ass.

Maybe "Alice" is part of Ravage.

Oh, BTW, I HIGHLY doubt Alice has anything to do with Ravage, other than the fact she's a Decepticon.

The dread-loc thing crashed into and stuck in the car is likely Alice. It's probably the bio-weapon too.
Ravage is either a missile or torpedo fired from Shockwave. Then transformers into the creature we see leaping from the ocean.

I support the idea that Alice and Ravage are the same, if only because it would permit many hilarious pussy jokes to be told.

I think he will shoot out of soundwave some how. The figure has a rear missle that is etched with ravages design.

Exactly. I think the Soundwave packaging also labels said part as "Ravage Missile", doesn't it?
