The whole idea here is that each week we'll have a new thread with a specific theme where everyone can post pics related to the theme. I hope that this will actually be reasonably popular so we can see some really creative pics. Feel free to post any pics (transformer related obviously) you feel fall under the category as well as comments on others pics and suggestions for the next week's theme.

Week 1: Captain Morgan (I picked this because it's pretty easy and I've already got a pic to fit in the theme. )
edit: Here's a pic of Captain Morgan for those unfamiliar with the character:



The idea is to have the left foot up on something and have the rest posed similarly to the picture. The pose is often accomanied by the catch-phrase: "Got a 'lil Cap'n in ya?" so feel free to paraphrase that for comedic effect.


The next theme will start monday if this proves to be an idea with any merit at all.

well...not everyone here is from the USA, so not everyone will understand that captain morgan ( i had to google it myself) thing... and by the way...if prime had a pirate hat, now that would be priceless  

 

Um... what do you mean by "Captain Morgan"? And how is that not just a fairly cool picture of Prime and Megs? I'm not seeing the "theme."

 

Valid point, and I will attempt to wrangle one up.

I'll post a pic of captain morgan in the first post to show everyone. It had not even occurred to me that cptn morgan wouldn't be immediately recognizable.

this could be a sweet thread, i would say when suggesting a pose, have a reference like you ended up doing with the captain.

 

Well the captain morgan idea was just something I decided to use because I already had that picture. The theme doesn't have to be a specific pose it could just be an idea. I have a few ideas for next week's theme but please do make some suggestions. I want this to be as feedback heavy as possible.

 

Nice pic. The trick to this, imo, is to try and find a TF figure that can do the pose, but withought something under it's raised leg, like in the commercials. If I can find the camera, I'll try and find one of my TF's that'll be able to pull this off with no extra support (Classics Mirage comes to mind as a possibility).

 

That sounds like it'd be worth a shot. Please share your results!

thanks! What's funny is lie someone mentioned earlier about standing with nothing under his foot, that pose I had megatron in can do it, he was barely on the barrels in that pic.

 

Yeah, but you really need a sword as a second support to pull the pose off with no foot support and the whole point of the commercial is that random people just do the pose with no props. If someone can actually pull the pose off without the sword or barrel then major props!
