So is anyone going to watch this except me? I know it doesn't probably have the same meaning in the USA that it has for the other countries participating.

Being a proud Canadian I'm always cheering for the Canadian National Baseball Team(who beat the USA in the last WBC:thumbs2: ) so I enjoy the tournament a lot.

I'm hoping Canada avenges a very sub-par showing in the last Olympics. It's also nice to see Corey Koskie on the comeback trail. He actually looked excellent against the Blue Jays today.

Canada's hitting actually looks real solid, it the pitching and defence that I'm worried about. At least Stubby Clapp, strangly the most famous player in the history of Canadian Baseball's National Teams, gets one more tournament to shine in.

I'll be watching as I have three teams I can root for. Obviously USA is first followed by Italy and Australia!

The Netherlands is beating the Dominican Republic in the 8th. What an upset that would be!

Canada vs USA starting soon. :(  I'll have to record it and watch it later........

From what I've seen Japan and Korea are the teams to beat... again.

I'll be rooting for USA and Mexico.

Tough loss today for Canada, but still a great, very competitive game. Canada just needs to win both remaining games now to advance, hopefully alongside the USA.

I think the D.R. is set for an early exit this year. Their team is so doom and gloom that it would take a miracle for them to pull their act together and actually play baseball instead of hating on everything and everyone.

I was at the Canada-USA game today, and I have to say that it was the first time I was at a baseball game I actually enjoyed!

Despite the result, I think Canada played pretty well, and should hopefully take care of Italy on Monday (who got licked 7-0 tonight by Venezuela).

Gonna be an interesting matchup between the United-Statesian and Venezuelan teams tomorrow night...

Outside of Asia, I don't think a lot of these teams look very sharp. They're just not ready to play.

Canada got destroyed by Italy tonight, D'oh. Thats what happens when you only have one MLB calibur pitcher(Jesse Crain) on the staff. And they saved their best starter, Richmond from the Jays System, for the game tomorrow. Smooth move........

On the bright side Jesse Crain was dialed in tonight and struck out 4 straight hitters in the 8th and 9th. Morneau was 4-5 today too..........

Man, two bad international tournaments in a row for Canadian Baseball.

Was there no other venue outside of Florida to play that game last night? I hate watching games on TV from that stadium.

Anyway, the U.S. has recovered nicely from that mercy rule debacle a few days ago. Still, they look shaky at best.
