Did anyone catch this last night? I'm looking at you old farts on here, the kids won't know what I'm talking about. I was born in '86 and just barely remember the show as being awesome. Finally saw the pilot last night after stumbling on it by coincidence.

First of all, it's awesome the Hub is bringing back such a classic show. Second of all, I appreciate it SO much more as a young adult. It definitely dealt with some serious growing pains in such a fragile era. For those that missed it and are interested, I won't spoil here what happens in the first episode, but it's a perfect mix of comedy and drama.

Did anyone throw down on this American classic last night?

This was/is a great program. It was actually on the air not to long ago on another channel, but I never did see the pilot for it. I thought Winnie's brother died later in the show, not on the first episode.
The Wonder Years is a true classic.

I love this show, always have. I watched it when they did reruns on ION TV station. I have all 7 (or 6, can't remember) seasons on my computer. Such a great classic. Then when Daniel Stern was in City Slickers I was all like, OMG that's the voice from the Wonder Years!

I recognized Stern's voice when he did Marv in Home Alone.

Ditto on all counts. I think the downloads are actually of the Ion broadcasts. There were six seasons, although season 1 and 2 are effectively one full season, "season 1" being only six episodes that ran in the spring of '88.

I also found it interesting on a personal level b/c Kevin's age/timeline mirrored mine, except that they were exactly 20 years apart. The show starts with him beginning junior high in the fall of '68; I started junior high in the fall of '88. The seasons tracked from there, following him through high school, always in the same year of life/school that I was, with much of the typical JH/HS drama occurring on the show and IRL often at eerily similar times.

I'd be the first to buy the complete series on DVD, but who knows if the bullshit over the music rights will ever let that happen. Producers vs. music artists/ASCAP, rabblerabble, more money, less money. Ain't nobody making any fucking money right now. Nice going.

I am now just realizing that the hub isnt available in HD via comcast in my area. But it is with FIOS. WTF?

Anyway, I remember watching the re-runs and being surprised that Karen married Ross.

Grew up in the 90's, have seen the whole series several times over, was so glad to see it on the Hub, set a series recording for it.

    Absolutely love the show.

This is such a great show, but I can't get sucked back in right now!

Growing up, I had a huge crush on Winnie.

Anybody noticed that Hub censored out the word hell? Really?
If Spike can say shit in the 1986 Transformers animated movie for kids, in the 80's no less, than surely Kevin can say hell in 2010.

Didn't catch this, but managed to watch Doogie Howser.

They really are pulling some shows from left field, aren't they?

I use to like watching the showed way back then.

After a few seasons I lost interest.

I did however watch the last episode,it was a nice wrap up for the serious.

Yeah I was much younger than winnie cooper when the show aired. I thought she was cute. but not cuter than zack's girl from saved by the bell.
