Yup that awesome 90 minute Nintendo commercial that made us love the Power Glove (which we subsequently beat with a hammer) and rush out in droves for Mario 3 is coming to DVD 8/29/06.

I am so buying this flick, if just for the geek factor it represented to me as a kid. :D

    Fuck yeah!

    Awesome!

"I love the powerglove, it's so bad."

I wonder if that joke was intentional.

I've tried to look for this movie in the video store when I was renting movies a few times, but never found it, I watched when I was a kid, and want to see it again, w00t!

Oh hell yeah! Darkwing Duck and Tail Spin! They shall be mine, provided nobody objects of course; this family can be crazy sometimes... The Wizard is ok I guess; I always found that flick interesting, saw it in theatres too, even though it is/was just a big marketing tool... Wonder if NP is going to mention it?

Now all we need is Gummi Bears and The Wuzzles and my life can be officialy complete; oh yeah and hopefully volume two of Chip N' Dale, DWD, Tail Spin and DuckTales.

It's where everyone learned where the warp whistle was. No one would have figured that pressing down on the white blocks makes you drop behind the scenes. How that kid knew where it was when it was the first time he'd played it, I'll never know.

I'd buy this flick. I think my nephew would enjoy it.

I watched this again a couple of years ago on video, and it is sooooo abysmally bad. And not in the Power Glove way. Oh wait, exactly in the Power Glove way.

And yet, I will probably buy it anyway.

    I don't believe it.

Well, that's it. My personal list of stuff I wondered would ever be put on DVD has been cleared. The Garbage Pails Kids Movie and The Wizard were the last two holdouts, GPK was put on DVD last year.

I'm gonna have to pick up both of those, if for no other reason than they legitmately exist on DVD... and to hear Christian Slater say "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" over and over again...
