The forearms were actually not made from styrene since, you're right, styrene allows mostly only straight dimensions. I casted the tip of a toy rocket (the ones that you can fire up in the air). Once casted, I sanded the ends for the ends to look rounded out. I then hollowed the insides so that the fist/hand can go inside. I also carved out an area in one of the ends to insert a socket for the ball joint. Which leads to your next question. The joints I used are from bionicle parts. Actually back to the question making round corners from styrene. You can't make pieces as round as the forearm from styrene, but you can still round out corners like the rear treads. I heated up the styrene to make it soft and bendable and proceeded to bend it to a more rounded look. Hope that helps.

LOL, I'll take that as a compliment. BTW, when I'm done, I'll probably put it up for sale on ebay. Won't be done for another couple of months probably though.

Actually the parts that you see in the pics are mold casted parts (which is why they are different shades of gray because I dyed them so that it'll show up better in pics). So yes, I do plan to make a few of these but probably no more than 10.

Update: Finished the rest of the body including the neck protector and head. Only thing left are the "wings" and weapons (sword & gun). The head may seem a bit small but that's how it is in the comics and Don's concept art. Don drew the head smaller compared to the body so that he looks more like a brute so I went with it.

10, only 10!!! Dude, you should really make many more of these and sell it under a different name. We all know what it is. Shhh, I won't tell anyone.

Well, there will be about 50-60 parts to complete Grim. Mold casting that many parts would take time. I want to move on to other projects which is why I'm only planning on 10. But if I can find a 3rd party to mold cast them for me then I may consider making more.

Although I love most of TWW designs I have no plans as of now to make another one after this one. My next project would be an Alt Arcee done the proper way. Which is scratchbuilding the robot parts to make her feminine. After that, who knows, I may do another TWW. If I do, then I'm leaning towards Ironhide or Soundwave.

No offence but i hate it when there are great home made figures I'll probably never be able to afford. Any way great job looking forward to that alt Arcee.
