Are the Transformers no longer confined to the realm of fiction? Last week ‘evidence’ of the VOK (re)surfaced in a Dutch Talkshow. An archaeologist of the Dutch Antiques Roadshow was asked to pick her most remarkable moment in the 25 year history of the program. She tells this story about a man with a Golden Disk of unknown Origin. When the man bought the Golden Disk it was just a lump of wax. Only when he burnt the wax he discovered a Golden Disk inside. The archaeologist couldn’t determine the origin or value of the disk. At first she thought the ‘cross’ symbol on top of the disk linked it to Christianity but the markings on both sides of the the disk couldn’t be connected to Christianity or any known human culture. The man was still confronted with a mystery so he took the disk to several experts of the Louvre, British Museum, The Metropolitan, spiritual media at Stonehenge and even asking the scientists from NASA to take a look. No one could identify the Golden Disk, it remained an enigma. In the end the general (expert)consensus was that the Golden Disk is from ALIEN ORIGIN. This Youtubevid shows the talkshow, the Golden Disks is displayed best @ 0:44 and 1:24. Clearly the markings of the VOK! YouTube - Buitenaardse gouden schijf.
That's kinda cool food for thought, even if you exclude the Beast Wars stuff. What if these aliens, like us, made a golden disk that functions like ours? Wat if they ever found ours?
That image of the cross is not an "unknown image" ... shoot, that dates back to what, the Romantic period? Earlier than that? From Europe. It may not be A SUPER DUPER EXACT MATCH, but come on, how much closer can you get other than being exact? Plus it's been crudely carved in to, with what looks like a piece of jagged metal, because the carving itself is very ... well, poor. The only "alien" thing about that "disc" is what people put in to it -- the fact that because they can't determine WHERE or WHEN, thus disallowing HOW (because somehow HOW is based upon WHERE and WHEN), they've deduced that it's alien in origin. I can't figure out how the hell dust bunnies form, but I don't call them alien (though I think I have more evidence that they are than this disc).
Jeez, I'd hope aliens with the capabilities of interstellar travel would be capable of better machining tolerances than that. Also, what's that discoloration on the surface? Leftover wax? Gold doesn't oxidize. Either the Vok were too cheap to spring for 24K gold, or someone without advanced space technology figured noone would notice, and took the easy road in terms of workability and cost. And if the aliens wanted to prove a point, why an organic, human material like wax? Why not something like lucite, or some other polymer? Wax wouldn't even last that long, would it? I have no idea why anyone would jump to the ALIENS conclusion on that, considering the piece is composed entirely of materials accessible to even the average human, and emblazoned with sigils easily carved by that same average human with readily available tools.
HAHAHA! I WAS RIGHT! You all called me crazy, idiotic, de-evolved and every other insult in the book! But I was right all along, holy shit I was right! I'm throwing a party right now. TO THE WINE CELLAR!
I'm going to have to call Poe's law on the above post. I honestly can't tell whether Godzi is joking.
Fabulous. On the disc itself, I hadn't actually watched the video, so I'm just going to be a typical Internet denizen and agree with what everyone else has said. "OMG U GAIZ ITS OBV NOT ALIENS GAWSH JUST LEWK AT IT"
