I would not blame so much the head sculpt. A bit more paint applications can make the Cheetor head look very better. Basically some lining can make the toy's head much more like the character model.

To be more on-topic, the unreleased toys that are redecos or small retools probably could be released through Subscription Service. I guess this can be an way to got Animated Thundercracker.
