After watching that video, I'm embarrassed to call myself a gamer. Disgusted doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about it.

 

They should have named it "Jack Thompson's MURDER SIMULATOR".

Wow do those graphics suck, this looks like it was made at the same time as the first Manhunt. Also that got boring like three min. in to the video clip, and some of those kills look impossible. Glad to say I learned my lesion on the first one, I would not touch this game with a ten foot clown pole.

 

I guess im the only one here who kinda enjoys the game. I loved the first one.

The story is you play as a guy in a insane asylum and you excape with this other dude and your trying to get away from people with the other guy you excaped with and hes calls it "THE PROJECT" or whatever yea bassically some stupid story line. I like the game its better for people like myself to take my anger out on a game instead of myself or someone else.

I don't think its that gory sence they toned it down a bit. Oh well differnt taste in differnt people.

The original, and I'm giving it a huge benefit of the doubt here, had -something- to say, you know? It makes no sence to me that people like movies like hostel but then it comes to a video game its all of a sudden HORRIBLE and WRONG. People look at vidoeo games are just for just kids but a kid can get his or her hands on hostel just as easy as picking up a controller

You bought it, you liked it. I might have found it tasteless but that doesn't mean I need you to feel the same.

Toned down from what? Castrating a man with a pair of pliers seems "toned up" to me.

An aside:I can't see anyone spending $50 on this when Mario Galaxy is coming out in days.

No. I don't think a movie like Hostel or any of the Saw sequels (maybe even Saw) are "ok", I think they're pretty worthless too.

It has a story. It has a context. It isn't out to titilate (well, maybe Cortana, she has NO CLOTHES!   ). Gunplay is pretty far removed from Manhunt style executions.

 

You know Hostel has a base, right? Yeah, it wasn't just about mindless killing.

The things that happen in that movie happen in real life. People are imprisoned, others pay to torture them. Sick, but it's true.

Manhunt. Guy has to escape from an insane asylum. Ok, that's fine. He has to kill people to do it. Yup, pretty much a given. He has to castrate them with pliers, beat the shit out of them with a manhole cover, or rip their skull out. Then he decides to kill everyone in the city. Uh-oh. Anyone else see a little red light going off here? I sure do.

The point I'm trying to get across is that you shouldn't make a game to kill just for the hell of it. Maybe if done in a Splinter Cell fashion, this game would be amazing. The way it was done deserves the Adults Only rating it originally got.

These are just my opinions. Whether you agree with them or not is your choice.

I'll probably rent it. I own the first one having bought it on clearence not knowing it was a snuff game, but I've never gotten past ten minutes of the game. The original just isn't fun to play so I doubt the sequel has improved on that.

 

I just watched a couple of the videos on Youtube. Even with the filters on, thats fucking disgusting. I also found a shovel death without filters, thats just plain fucked up.

I know a friend of mine loves these games (makes him feel tough apparently), so I know he'll be pissed he can't get it. I'm sure the Wii version would be even worse. I am glad for once that a game got banned.

But yeah, Kudos to you Onesock, if the target audience is turned off by it, that should give the makers the message.
