So if you eat the Matrixcake... it's like you're eating the "sparks" of the previous Autobot leaders. It'd be the ultimate desert at a Scraplets & Mechanabals diner. ^_^

It's a cute cake, but the frosting/icing should be smoothed out more to obtain a much nicer finish. I know firsthand how annoying piping can be, but the squares on the handles should be a little more consistant. Overall, it is a VERY nice cake though.

Hm. I don't know. Turning into a Prime always seems to make you bigger, right? By that token, I'm sure the cake makes you bigger. :lolol

Just cut into it tonight. It's delish!

Ahah! I was wondering when someone would ask *how*, hehe. Under the delicious Wisdom flavored Jell-O center is a hole in the cakeboard, sealed with plastic. You place the entire tray over a supporting box beneath it which contains a properly positioned lamp.

I never thought of it that way, LOL.

Meh. I'm really not going for the perfection here. I'm not a professional, nor do I have the time, moey for equipment, or space to do perfectly smooth cakes like you see in catalogs. I'm in it for a bit of amusement and some novelty, and I feel like the imperfections are part of the silliness behind the whole "story" I've cooked up for this stuff. It already takes forever to make one of these monstrosities as well, so the time it would take to do perfection would be at a serious premium too.

I understand that. I was simply giving some constructive criticism. And it doesn't cost any more than the price of a metal spatula to smooth out an iced cake.

And those perfectly smooth cakes in the catalogs use fondant and sugarpaste, which isn't very well known to casual bakers. Not to mention it's much harder to use on a cake such as the one you've made, so the method you've used is the best way to go.

The creativity you've put into the cake is amazing. I love how it turned out, and hope to see more from you in the future.
